Just bringing up my favorite topic of late.
Just think Mundy @ SS and Brock @ FS are locks to start day 1.
I know J.D. Jennings got the first reps @ FS. But what the GB fans have to say about him , isn't too good.
Just think Vereen earns the spot in camp.
And Cali I don't want to hear how rare it is for rooks to start Sorry couldn't pass that up.
Just like to read your thoughts .

I thought Wright was our best safety last yr. Says a lot about what I think of Conte.
Phil brought a # of FAs to battle for the spot.
Jennings & Conte both have experience. Which goes a long way w/ vet DCs. But neither has made a case for himself. I think Vereen makes that case in camp , when the pads are on.
I think Brock starts day 1. Conte is cut , if he can't handle STs.

We can all hope that Brock is the answer. I just think we should temper our expectations just a tad. The guy is a 5th round rookie... Let's give him a chance to grow and learn before we declare him a starter. I can almost guarantee that he will make a rookie mistake or two throughout the season. Hope he get's some good play time and pushes Conte- At the very least that makes Conte better- not that that is very difficult.

As much as Conte sucked last year- he's the most experienced Safety on the roster, is CHEAP in his last year on his deal... and will be hungry to make up for last year. I'm not advocating for him AT ALL...but I want to see what he does with the pressure of competition in camp. (if he is CUT...that will give us some pretty low experience level back there) And I think Mundy has the inside track anyway. Mundy/Jennings/Conte/Brock.
