The Rapture Is Coming
Thoughts on your boys going to the Big East?
3 things
Money
Money
Money
AQ is nice but secondary. We need to expand our facilities to attract better teams and interest from other conferences which means money.
The BE, even as diluted as it looks to become is still a significant improvement over the MWC. Especially once that abortion of a merger takes place. BSU was looking at being in a giant east-west conglomerate in either case. This way BSU gets to help select the other members of the BE west division.
It's even more of a no brainer IMO than the move from WAC to MWAC was.
It isn't our final destination but a definite move in the right direction. And away from a sinking ship.
What are the BCS deals with the Big East and MWC. I mean, you have the same chance of getting into a BCS game in either, I would think. Is the split even in both conferences??
last i heard the boise exit fee from the mw could be as high as $21 mil
He was not asking you!!!!! :charlie:

If going to the BE helps you build your facilities and get you to the Big 12 quicker, go for it.

tough titties I have
what happened to the 32 team superconference of BE, MWC, and CUSA?
You're kidding, right?
The BE has an AQ so the champ gets a BCS bowl no matter how many losses
The MWC only gets in unbeaten or MAYBE 1 loss
The money in the BE at this point with no renegotiated tv deal is TRIPLE the MWC.
And it will go up.
im on the fence if i want cincy in the west. to far to travel for someone like me with no money. but i would love BSU coming to cincy
