Not a Sharks fan but there's something in the air in this team. They just seemed to have it going this year. I don't know if it'll mean they'll get to the big dance, much less win it, but there's a better optimism feel to the Sharks this time compared to recent years. And that must be good, considering their numerous shortcomings in the past decade plus. Best of luck to them nevertheless, Pavelski is playing MVP caliber hockey.

I know I'm dating myself, but former Flyers player Barry Ashbee's career was cut short when he took a puck flush in the eye during the Stanley Cup playoffs in the mid 70's. He permanently lost vision in one eye as a result. As 43 mentioned, that visor likely saved the sight of Vlasic and likely prevented any serious injury.

That blast by Weber that he walked into from between the hash marks. I can't blame Jones if he flinched a bit on that one, it was perfectly placed in the top corner, nobody makes that save.
