I see that there aren't a lot of Sixers fans here - 6 posts in 2 years is pretty bad. I can't say that I'm a huge fan but there must be SOME people out there who like the team.

I don't expect much but this thread is here if anyone wants to talk about the Sixers.

How poorly are they going to do this year?

Ur not alone out there. Well today was a good start for the Sixers. Turner had a decent game. Is he gonna step up and finally be a #2 pick

It's a shame that 30 wins is now the goal but this is what happens when the team is bad. We'll see now well the 2 Number 1 draft picks play.

Holy cow we have posters. I love the direction that the Sixers are going. Ownership is willing to spend at all costs, love the GM and what his stands for. He did a very good job in Houston. I think we have the best candidate for our coach for the situation we are currently in. It's going to take patience as a fanbase and let this ride for about 2-3 drafts before we are a contender IMO. We may tank this season, but if we land Wiggens, holy shit this will be a big bandwagon fanbase in no time I lived through this shitong enough, it's time to get back to being relevant again. Good to see this board active. Keep it going.

My gut tells me that Turner is trade bait. I'm a huge Buckeye fan and I remember the day that when the Sixers drafted him that he would fit very nicely with this organization. I think the problem w Turner is this, the Sixers don't have any identity, the leaders are all removed from the roster, Turner has played for multiple coaches in such a short time. Bottom line, it's my belief that this inconsistency is from the lack of confidence of him personally, or it could be that he doesn't buy into the Sixers franchise? I don't know?

This is true. Still like our chances for #1. And don't get me wrong, I want the Sixers to win, just think this is going to be a very long season w such a young team. If Turner is traded, he probably gives us a very nice package in return I'd suspect.

I grew up a Sixers fan. For some reason I never liked the Lakers. Andrew Toney & Dr. J were my favorites. The Bynum trade still ticks me off. Vucevic is going to be one heck of a player. It's a complete rebuild. There will be growing pains. If they get lucky & have two picks in the top 10 this year it will help a lot, but like mall said earlier patience is going to be needed.

This season is all about the tank and getting Andrew Wiggins when all is set and done - hopefully Evan Turner plays well enough to where they can get good value for him at the deadline - I don't view him as a long term solution with the Sixers
