I don't even want to hear that weather talk. 100 here and we are putting on sweaters. Family came home from movies tonight and at 7 pm it was 111. :)

i'm more than 1000 miles north of where you are, so it's absurd for it to be this hot. our high tomorrow is higher than vegas and peoria for fuck's sake.

if i wanted to live in a furnace, i'd have moved down there!

It is suppose to be 112 here tomorrow so I think we still have you by a bit. Hell is still ours!

112 here as well.

we cool off a little for the next 10 days after that with low/mid 100s.

just crazy for this far north.

i don't know how you all deal with it down there.

112 there as well? Holly shit! Ya that is way different in the NW compared to here.

Sometimes I don't know how we deal with it either. I stay inside during the summer a lot. I remember last year taking my wife to her office 40 minutes away when it was 119. The AC couldn't keep up in the car.

112 in Arizona, Nevada or New Mexico is nothing compared to 85-90 in Washington.

I use to say that until about my 3rd year here. 112-120 is still 112-120. When the breeze feels like you are standing in front of an open oven, there is no dry air bs.

I don't know man, I know in Vegas it is way more comfortable at 110-120 than it is in the sweaty balls weather up here. My AC unit can't keep up with how muggy this crap weather is. Sun burns hurt for a week, the sight of people with old Montero's body walking around in their skimpies.

LOL, When I first moved to Vegas for college I arrived at 3AM and got out of my car and it was still over 100, it blew my fucking mind. But you get used to it. The heat is a different kind of heat than in the NW but you guys might only have to deal with it for a week or two. Here it is hotter than balls for most of the year, and when it starts to cool off you are so used to the heat, 70 degrees feels like you are on the top of Everest.

Hahaha that is a perfect description!! I have always used that same description when trying to explain to people what to expect.

yep.

i lived in north and south carolina for 4 years, and i was outside in a marine uniform for at least 4-5 hours per day i can tell you right now that 110 in a dry climate is more comfortable than 90 where i was stationed....but putting seattle even in its worst heat wave in this conversation doesn't hold water.

Silver lining:

Cano is hitting .316/.344/.561 with 3 HRs and 8 RBI over the last 15 games. It's a promising sign, but the concerning part for me is that despite hitting with this line, his K rate has yet to fall to his career levels.

fewer and fewer "be constructive" or "just give this team a chance" posts by non-baseball fans/fairweather fans, at least.

and yeah, cano is almost looking like a player who should make more than the league minimum.
