My default position is snark, but I'm asking that we use this thread for legitimate positives we can draw from what we see on a daily basis.

I'll start.

Montgomery has looked pretty damn good in his 2 outings. Can't wait to see his constitution in smaller parks on the road.

One more, Mark Lowe has been unbelievable considering the league gave up on him 3 or 4 years ago.

You also added one the other day when you said Jackson was looking like Detroit "Action" Jackson.

:)

It took me a minute but I do have something positive to say about this years team.

At least they are going out on the road now!

Yea that's the first one that came to mind for me. Hopefully he keeps it up and they can either deal him for a decent return or maybe sign him to an extension. not really any other options in center in the system or free agency

Great therapy...

Carson Smith only threw a total of 10 pitches to get the save the other night...

Smith has been looking pretty good for sure.

From everything I've read, he's got that rare mental thing where he gains focus in stressful situations. That's as important as his stuff right now, IMO.

I'll give you a silver lining that most of you are probably unaware of:

Over this dismal 10 game stretch in which the team has gone 1-9, guess which of our 'big three' in the middle of the lineup has the most RBI and homers? Would you believe that it is Robinson Cano? True, and it's not even close. Robbby has 5 RBI, Cruz has 1 and Seagar has none. Cano also has the only homerun the big three have produced over this 10 game stretch.

Of course, he may be getting way more RBI opportunities than Cruz and Seager, but that is a story for a different thread - the 'Black Cloud' thread.

Robinson Cano over the last 10 games:
1 HR 5 RBI .153 BA .190 OBP .231 SLG%

Sorry, not really great at this whole "silver linings" thing.

Mariners have gained 1.5 games on the Astros since Friday. See that wasn't that hard. :thumb:
