I'm definitely interested to see if Siemian can improve over last year. I have my doubts as he was one of the luckiest QB's in the NFL with leading the league in dropped interceptions. So he could actually improve and still throw more interceptions than last season. I also wonder about his ability to stay healthy. I still think at some poitn we do see Paxton. Now from what I understand the Broncos do have a very short leash on Siemian. If the team is 2-2 at the bye week they will think about making the switch to Paxton. Internally they think if Paxton had another month he would have taken this QB competition as they saw him have a break through during practice against the 49ers. Yes the game wasn't perfect by any means when he had his best chance. If he continues to improve over the next month and the team struggles to win it wouldn't shock me to see them make the switch. At some point unless Siemian is blowing them away they will need to find out what Paxton is. Big QB decision going into next year with such a good QB class coming up.

Paxton looks absolutely lost out there at game speed. The scarier part is he looks shook

I think we're in trouble with both Qb's. First we pass on Wilson for Brock, then we take Paxton over Dak. Bad drafting by Elway.

You do remember that Jerry Jones said he lost sleep over the fact that he lost out on Paxton Lynch right? I would also add that RGIII is a great example of a QB that came onto the scene on fire but quickly faded. Plenty of other QB's have done the reverse.

Jerry can sleep much better now knowing he got Dak and didn't get stuck with Paxton at least. Not that I care if Jerry sleeps well at night.

But I get what you're saying. At the time it wasn't Dak vs Paxton to anyone else in the NFL. Dak actually dropped further then I thought, meaning NFL teams were even a little less into him then I was at the time or many others. So to me it really isn't we passed up Dak for Paxton, because of we passed on Paxton we'd have probably had 8 other QB's ahead of Dak, sadly.

Just saying that if you are going to call Elway terrible at QB evaluation then just about every other GM out there is as well. Jerry lucked into Dak more so than actually having him as top choice of who he wanted.

And again I guess this is my confusion. At times you talk about how he isn't a bust but then you say things like this of getting "stuck" with Paxton like it has been determined he is a bust.
