If Spencer is willing to come back on a 1 year deal, it makes me wonder if the Cowboys would use the franchise tag on Hatcher this year and keep them both. I know the Cowboys are in cap Hell, but I read that they would be able to get under the cap by redoing the Romo, Ware and Carr deals and doing something with Austins contract. Do you think that is remotely possible?

Not possible for both. If you keep Spencer for one year there is no way to be creative with his contract from a cap perspective. So whatever you pay him hits the 2014 cap. So if you add in Hatcher being tagged which also would 100% hit next years cap you break what is already a strained cap budget. It may appear on the surface a smart move, but our cap problem in 2014 makes it a non-starter

So I think hageman at 1 and donald at 2 would be great. I think donald could replace spencer and hagemin could take hatchers spot. Donald would be a similar player to trent cole as an end. This would be a scary lineup for a qb to face

I feel like with the exception of a handful of guys, RBs are a dime a dozen. You can get a quality back in the 4 or 5th round so I wouldn't burn any of our first 2 rounds on it. Wasn't Murray a 3rd rounder? Guy is a top 5 back when healthy.

We aren't talking about getting a #2 WR. We are talking about a slot guy. Beasley has his limitations, but he does his thing as good as anyone. The guy always seems to make plays. What else could you possibly want when we already have Witten and Dez and hopefully Williams growing into a solid WR as well? Beasley is a role player and even though his role may only come up 3 or 4 times a game, he seemingly answers the bell almost every time. On 3rd and 6 in a big spot I don't want to see Romo overthrow some speed receiver going for a TD. I want to see him hit Beasley on one of those plays where he can cut right or left (depending on the defense) and get us 8 yards...

I agree with many on here regarding rb. Murray when healthy is one of the best backs in the NFL. He does everything well and really is underrated. I don't want us to use a draft pick and think we need an upgrade over Tanner and Randle. I would think we can find that as an undrafted FA

I think we are set at wr. Williams has been able to get separation and made big plays. I really like beasly and harris. And dez is one of the best out there. Romo continuously underthrows dez as it is.
