They must be actually starting or relieving (no using a starting pitcher with RP eligibility as your RP).

That was a big part of my decision. I had Kershaw, Price, Bumgarner, Hamels and Archer, but could only start four of them.

It's H2H.

#20 SS (but I have Peralta on IR)
#1, #5, #26 & #34 OFs
#1, #8, #14 & #45 SPs

There are 14 teams in my league. I'm pleased.

What you basically did, was weaken your strength... and H2H leans the advantage to pitching IMO... Would have only tried trading one, not both...

Problem is, with all that literally TOP END pitching, I was going to be leaving too many points on the bench each week. So now I'll have three bad asses and a stable of mid-grade guys to shuffle in and out as they have two-start weeks.

I disagree with that. At least, in the three H2H leagues I'm in, no one wins if they take pitching early.

the good news, with the team you have it really is irrelevant... Don't care if you are in last place right now(not saying you are), you have a team that people would be happy with in a 10 team league, maybe even an 8 team league... wouldn't have mattered if you made a trade or not, your team is going to compete...

But it is ok to leave points on the bench, good thing about leaving points on your bench is that nobody else is going to score those points...

No fucking shit. Not to toot my own horn, but my teams rarely don't compete, whether we're talking about my keeper league or yearly leagues.
