Agreed, it seems like short series the recipe is to win close in game 1, then game 2 is where you lay the wood. I'd like to see them win this game 5-2 going away.

Although I would love to see that, you gotta figure the Blue Jackets will make adjustments and be even tougher the 2nd time around. Really depends on how Bobrovsky play tho.

The amazing thing, Dan essentially benched Letang for that dumb slash, and he said so publicly. Letang owned up to it, and now we can move on. Its how things are supposed to work.

Agreed, Blue Jackets will come out flying no doubt. Just thinking of how it would go down if the Pens were to sweep for instance. Not saying any of that will happen.

A sweep would be sweet, but I don't even want to mention that unless it happens. Don't want to jinx things

A third line of Stempniak-Sutter-Bennet is really solid. As long as Gibbons keeps up his good play on the top line, Dan can keep those three together. They're able to cycle and generate some chances, but more importantly, keep the puck away from the Jackets' top lines.

Completely agree. They've been arguably our best line this series and I think we need to keep them together. Sutter has looked especially strong, probably the best I've seen him as a Penguin.

I almost agree, this Pens team has been a total joke since the Olympics. Really no point in even advancing. It's not like we could beat the Flyers or Rangers anyway. It's becoming doubtful that we could even beat the Blue Jackets. We very well might be the worst team in the playoffs.

Welp, nightmare.

Usual caveats, Craig Adams was the worst player on the ice, can't even gain the red line effectively or clear the zone the things he is supposed to be good at.

But at some point, Sid really has to realize there is a fine line between being creative and playing like and ass, I think the latter was on display tonight. The cross ice passes, the constant turnovers and behind the back plays, he needs to keep it simple, especially in a close checking game.

Also, the coaching, I question if this team has another breakout system because right now, they can't break out of the zone. Same goes for the forecheck, it's non-existent. And on Johnson's goal on the pp, the 4 killers were Adams, Sutter, Orpik, and Scuds, you are asking for a goal to be scored on you when you let those 4 out there at the same time.

I don't know if Letang or Scuds could be any worse of a defensive pairing, and that's before the OT goal. Scuds needs to sit, he is just bringing anyone he plays with down.
