Datsyuk
Kesler
J. Staal

This is my favorite award and there better not be the East Coast bias present this year. I'd be ok with Pavel winning it, but Kesler deserves it this season. Young Staal, your time is yet to come...

Any way to merge this thread with dash's or get rid of it all together?

I agree. Kesler has had a stellar year, offensively and defensively. Thinking back on our season-opening blockbuster trade just makes me shake my head.

For those wondering, the trade was Mike Richards and Bobby Lou for MAF, Zetterberg, Kesler, and Selanne. I gave up Richards and Bobby Lou and ended up finished second in the league (I would have had first but ICW got a shorthanded assist from James Wisniewski with three minutes to play in the third period of the last game of the season to make the score 7-3 Ducks - that shorthanded assist put him over the top by one point).

I think Datsyuk wins it but would have no problem with Kesler winning it and would actually give him an edge if I voted.

Datsyuk will probably win it but it wouldn't be surprising if Kesler won it. It could go either way really.

i agree with everything so far. i'm really proud of jordan for even being on this list considering his age. that's an accomplishment (it makes me realize how freaking spoiled pens fans are...wow), and i see him winning a few of these in the future...just not this time around. you never know, but i think kesler's season and his olympic exposure will win him this one.

Kesler should win, Datsyuk probably will win and isn't a bad choice, Staal is happy to be a finalist.

I think that Datsyuk will win this but that Kesler and Staal should not worry as they both will win this award on multiple occasions throughout their career.

I can also see either one of them picking up a Conn Smythe at some point, although Jordan's may be with another team.
