Second team

Back in 2007 that was basically the last year I was a KC fan. I was rooting for two teams. KC and NO. NO gave me more to hope for while KC basically ticked me off with the Croyle crap. That turned me against them. I have not ever turned against a team I was rooting for but that to me was offensive but he was not a good QB and looked like a girl. I actually was happy he never won a regular season game.

Since that time, KC's come to their senses but too much time has passed and I can't go back. Besides, I kind of think of KC as unlikable because I like the finesse teams. I like San Diego more than KC now because Rivers is a deserving player. However, three teams have come behind the saints on my root list recently. Steelers, colts, and packers. Pittsburgh is a team I like to see win over Cincinatti and NE. Oh, and Baltimore also. Also, I have liked Pittsburgh over the years. There was a time I didn't like them because they were such a blatant sb shoe-in in 2008. Indy is the underdog that has to get by Brady. And GB is similar to the saints old offense in a way you just can't help but root for the best qb in the game. GB I hated a while back because I felt bitter Rodgers stole Brees' thunder but I realized there are more offensive qbs than Rodgers(coughCamcough). And who else is gonna keep Carolina and Seattle out of the sb. As of now, that is the only team that can.

It may be time for me to pick a second team while the saints are down. I'm thinking Indy because they are underdogs. I appreciate Pittsburgh but I like Luck more. I appreciate GB and want Rodgers to win the NFC. However, I tend to root for GB in their division and in the playoffs. It's so hard. My heart says the colts, my head says the packers. Either way those three are who I prefer to win over anyone else outside my team.

When it comes to pro teams, I only claim one. College teams I'll root for schools relatives went to such as say UCLA. I make exceptions for KSU and MU, they suck.

I don't see any problem having 2 favorite teams. The Niners were my team and Montana was my favorite player. When Montana was traded, I was still a Niner fan, but I also became a KC fan for all of Montana's years there and during that time, I had 2 favorite teams.

Watching football is about enjoyment. If you enjoy watching 2, 3, or 5 teams more than the others, then I don't see any reason why you can't or shouldn't have more than one team.

Philly is my team but I like a LOT of other teams and players because they play good football. When I watch the other 15 games every week, it gets boring if I don't really care about either of them.




And I am like that in everything...

Star Wars is my favorite sci-fi show, but I really like Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica as well.

Aerosmith is my favorite band, but I have a lot of other bands I like because I enjoy their music.

Crown and coke is my favorite alcoholic drink, but I like lots of others as well.

I like DC and Marvel shows, Coke and Pepsi products, different Ford's and Chevy's...

Saints are still my number 1, I just need a SECOND team. Fantasy football has certainly helped me in that regard. This year I did not draft a saint so if my saints have bad games(which they will) at least I can find joy in my fantasy team. College also keeps me from moping.

I lived in Charlotte when the Panthers went to the SB with the Pats. It was fun. I got my SB ticket from a Panther fan. He got to sit next to me.....
