I was kidding… :) I did like some of the old Lakers rival games though, early mid 90’s we had a little edge, but it was all over once the Lakers got Shaq … Lakers have had way more success as a franchise, can’t be argued … 87 Lakers I think we’re one of the best teams ever, got to see them live once in Seattle court side seats !!

Those teams with The Glove and Shawn Kemp were fun and definitely had an edge to them.

I really liked that title team with Downtown Freddie Brown, Jack Sikma, etc.

Downtown Freddie Brown was my favorite non-Lakers player at that time.

Cool story, I got to meet Downtown Freddie Brown at the Pro Club in Bellevue WA… Him and many Sonics players used go there all the time, Sonics actually practice there at times prior to the new facility at the time that was being built… Got to watch a full practice once, it was cool at it gets … This was back in 92-93 … But I talked to Fred Brown multiple times because he played tennis there almost daily … Even today ex NBA guys go there a lot, it’s a huge facility …

Like I said in the offseason thread, just don't drag this shit out. Everyone knows its gonna happen, just get it done. I don't want none of this shit where its like 2030 and they are just then debuting the team. No reason to not have them by 2025, 2026 at the latest.

A lot of it comes down to facilities. How long does it take to get one ready in each city?

Pretty sure each is set with the hockey arenas already there.

Maybe temporarily. A stand alone arena has to be preferable.
While nice not necessary, lots of sharing still goes on. I believe at least 10 cities currently have both in the same arena.

Gotta believe Vegas at the very least would want separate arenas.

There won’t ever be a NBA only arena in Seattle. Kind of the reason they left for the podunk city

You mean the one that had like 500 straight sellouts?

Most don’t realize it but OKC is the 20th largest city in the Country. By land area it’s the 8th largest.

...and oddly 29th in attendance percentage this year, 30th in actual attendance. You could point to tanking, but they're a better draw on the road (middle of the pack).

Since the Thunder came to town OKC pretty much leads the league. Attendance won’t be an issue with this team now that tanking is over.

They weren't tanking this year. And no, they topped out at about 7th, not leading the league.

In percentage they were tied at worst because they sold out over 10 straight seasons. OKC will support this team if they win, and they are going to do that.

I was just surprised that they didn't last year, since the team was competitive and in the playoff race.

Many teams exceed 100%, so Thunder weren't tied for first.
