Saturday weddings in the Fall....

I went pheasant hunting in South Dakota a few years back, was a good time...I had a couple of service buddies take me pheasant hunting in Scotland in the 80's...not the same experience at all...still good, but way different.

My Father-in-law was my hunting buddy, I have been bird hunting all over the North America and even a few South American bird hunting trips with him. Unfortunately he has Alzheimer's now, but we still get together and talk about it sometimes, he struggles with remembering what he had for lunch, but some of the things we did 20 years ago, he will pull out details that I had completely forgotten about.

Good stuff. As I get older, it seems like the bird hunting trips are the strongest hunting memories.

Any woman that wants to get married on a Saturday in the fall is trying to make a statement. I bet fall marriages have a higher failure rate. I may request a grant to prove that.

I had to go to a wedding on New Year's Eve one year, and if that isn't bad enough, when I got there, I learned it was a DRY FUCKING WEDDING. ON NEW YEAR'S EVE, FOR THE SAKE OF ALL FUCKS!!!

My younger cousin is getting married this Saturday, 3 and 1/2 hours from Portland, in beautiful Bend, OR.

Nope, Applebee’s gift card in the mail. I would’ve sent them at least an Outback gift card if it was on an NFL Sunday..... but.

True story, 2 seasons ago my whole October had a wedding every weekend. An the second week of November had one too. I was in 3 in October and the one in November. My wife was in the other. It was awful. I’m still sore about it to my friends and cousin.

I hear ya, 2 of them it was actually their second weddings. Both buddies of mine. They are idiots when it comes to girls. I wouldn’t doubt a 3rd for one or both.

My wife still doesn’t forgive me for leaving her friend’s wedding reception to watch Wisconsin/Nebraska in 2011.

She doesn’t remember the party but I still remember the 38-17 win behind Russell Wilson (and the crowd singing Build Me Up Buttercup through two plays). No regrets.
