I donated 20 to the billboard effort and 100 to the Red Cross. It is possible to have more than one cause you care about. My charitable donations add up to about $2k per year come tax time.

Here's an idea for Spanos... offer free tickets to Dolphins fans still displaced by Hurricane Irma. He can think of them as free seat fillers.

Truthful question though, why shouldn't tax payer's money go towards newer stadiums? The taxpayers and cities see huge spikes in revenue with huge events at these new stadiums or arenas. The wealthiest owners in professional sports only paid half of the stadium the Seahawks play in and it brings in big revenue for the entire city of Seattle because we have a shitty arena that can't get cover bands to play in.

I tend to work with children from impoverished in this hemisphere. At least I did until the last one started asking for a "Caballo". Damn spoiled Hondurans
