I don't know for certain where these nine got infected with Covid-19. They said it was "community based". Do they know for sure? Or does it matter? All we know is Covid-19 is highly contagious and it apparently doesn't take much to spread. And if we're planning on playing football games amongst different teams what is the likelihood of one guy getting infected? Several guys? A bunch of guys? A whole team? I'm not trying to be an alarmist but it seems to be a tepid situation at best to play football right now.

Because football is just as essential as health care. Riiiiiight.

Who said that was? But when one nurse or doctor gets it they haven’t closed down. They remove that 1 or say 9 people. Quarantine them and the show goes on. Football isn’t as important as people who aren’t allowed to do their job because of state regulations but 9 people testing positive out of over 100 isn’t a big deal.

only bad thing about the herd mentality approach is the fact these players will be missing 7-10 days. Teams better be deep because there will be a rash of injuries during this fall camp and season.

Well and kind of the point there are shit load of virus’/diseases that herd immunity hasn’t worked in world history.
