The irony of people arguing Rivers is better than Russ because Russ is a game manager is amusing. Russ throws the ball 50% further in the air on average. Rivers just dumps off short passes to his excellent receivers.

To be fair, it isn't 'people' plural, it's person singular, in the person of e-nut.

He lives on the edge.

We will just forget that his bad play cost them the lead and put them in a huge hole first.

BTW - Let's not act like comebacks against the Seahawks is a difficult thing to do.

Other notable QB's that have "epic" forth quarter comebacks against the Seahawks lately.

Matt Stafford (only to be screwed by the officials)
Andy Dalton
Cam Newton
Nick Foles

I don't how many yards that gave up if they only yielded 17 pts...you're supposed to win that game @ home...You tell me he threw a TD late 4th just to reach 14.

And it would have been the game winner if his kicker doesn't blow it. He threw two picks against a good defense that day too, without digging much more it probably wasn't his best outing, although he threw 40 times for 300 and had to do it all himself as Tomlinson ran 12 times for 24 yards and they had less than 60 yards rushing total. Completely different than if he was just sitting back on the Seahawks not having to do much.

You mean Rivers knows how to run an offense and Wilson just throws it up hoping his WRs come down with it after he runs out of the pocket? Yeah that's mostly the point here.

Air yards per attempt:
Wilson-5.4 (4th in nfl)
Rivers-3.5 (21st in bel)

Yet Rivers has a higher YPA because he places the ball better. And leads all passers by over 300 yards.

Looking forward to Wilson's contract tearing apart the Seahawks in the near future. Such a bum.

Air Yards?!?!? The fuck? Is that stat as meaningless as it sounds?

It's what a retard that doesn't understand ball placement and creating room for your WRs to run after the catch thinks is a relevant stat.

You know who knows how to run the fvck out of a short yardage offence? Sam Bradford...

That pretty-much describes Wilson perfectly when I have watched him. But he DOES do a great job scrambling and keeping the play alive. I like watching that part of his game. I'm not sold on him as a passer.

What?? Yeah Rivers is better. I wanted to trade for him when all that SportsHoopla was going on about trading for Mariota.

We agree here. Russell has some skills at some things and he also plays in the easiest QB situation in the NFL.

Oh, so things happened out of his control after gaining a late lead? Interesting that excuse works for rivers, but not for Wilson.

Some of you people are brainwashed...I watched the start of last night's game and the d-bag announcing states when the Seahawk's O took the field, "Russell Wilson is 8-1 vs the 49ers". What a pile of horse shit...the Seahawks are 8-1 vs the 49ers when Wilson starts...reality is Wilson has never played the 49ers without teammates and when I check the standings there are no standings for Russell Wilson...

Net result is QBs get too much credit for the wins and too much blame for the losses, it's a team game and the douche bags saying shit like this on the air need a punch to the junk.
