I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted how much Russ fell off during his time in Denver.

Even Seahawk fans who knew he had lost a step probably didn’t imagine him being a total bust.

How little Seattle got in trade should have been a tip-off that Wilson didn't have a ton of teams interested.

I do think Wilson is probably a high-end backup at this point. Or a bridge QB.

I wouldn't be shocked. Raiders, Falcons, Steelers, Bucs......all might have some interest. He's made it clear in earlier interviews that he still wants to be a starter.

Given the Broncos salary cap hell for the next two years, they absolutely have to draft a QB. Unfortunately, pick 12 doesn't do a lot to build confidence that they will find the right guy. With Stidham and DeNuci as the only QB's on the team, I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring in a vet (Winston, Minshew, etc) AND draft a QB.

Wow. Some trades just leave a mark that takes a long time to get over. This one isn't quite as bad as the Deshaun Watson one which is going to cause pain for years, but it's not too far off...

Broncos sent Noah Fant (TE) and Drew Lock and a bevy of early round draft picks. Two years later when we finally had a 1st round pick, we sent that one to NOLA for Sean Payton. It's been a few very long and frustrating years in Broncos Country. I was on board with the trade for Russ but clearly in hindsight, I was wrong. Moving on, saddled with the largest dead cap hit for one player in the history of the NFL. Fun times.

Carr, Jimmy G and O'Connell combined have beat the Broncos 8 games straight now. Adding Russell Wilson to the Raiders offense might give the Broncos a chance to break that streak!
