But, have they ever made up a legendary name for one of Gronk's catches?

"Ghost to the Post" Dave Casper, Raiders.
"The Catch" Dwight Clark, 49ers.
Not sure but when ever was anyone Casper'd or Clarked let alone thrown outta da club?

lol best TE ever!! haha yeah maybe if was healthy and played twice as long. He was there to actually help them win one Super Bowl, there for two SB losses, absent the fourth. Great TE when he is actually there, although he benefits from modern PI rules more than just about anybody as he is big, draws contact easily even on neutral passes and is good enough to command that respect. He retires now, he's just a mid-term wonder.

Fortunately for Pats fans, this is almost certainly just contract negotiation posturing. He can't really be dumb enough to retire now.

Well except for "The Catch" what else did Dwight Clark really do with his career?

Casper was better but it wasn't even that great a catch.

"The Catch" wasn't all that great of a catch, it was a 6'4" guy jumping a 6' guy and catching it on his finger tips. You'll see better catches every week these days.

I'd say that "The Catch" more symbolized the end of the Dallas run and the changing of the guard in the NFC to the 9ers dynasty.

Maybe he had to go to the locker room to take a shit.
He's a good size man but a 60 minute shit? More like he can be taken away and doesn't contribute shit during those games considering a 4th grade girl can block better.

Yep. Pats have done fine without him on the field but what a player! Any team would love to have the Gronkmeister suit up. So fun to watch him steamroll defensive players. Has incredible hands and agility for someone his size, although he does look sorta goofy while doing it. He can catch a ball six inches off the ground or anywhere around his body and plough down the field. He does have two rings, whether or not he played, so there's that.

Regarding injury, he was a loose cannon and did not take care of his body with all that strength. He has changed somewhat in past few seasons; seems to have lost some weight (avocado diet? LOL), and to be more aware of the risks of barrelling down the field, crashing into everything that got in his way.

I agree he should play a couple of more seasons before hanging up the cleats. Would be detrimental to his career to not do so.

He was very effective in New Orleans offensive scheme but he never was much of a blocker. There are very few great blocking TE's in the NFL.
