New stat called Real Plus-Minus. Applies WARP ideas to the plus-minus stat to give a plus-minus per 100 possessions stat...or an efficiency rating.

Pretty awesome.

Interesting things:

KG and Duncan are 2 and 3rd respectively for DRPM.

LBJ is 2 points better than KD for ORPM

LBJs D has been terrible for his standards. I would like to see his DRPM for his career.

CP3 is really good.

Iguodala can be argues to be better for a team than KD.

I always though the +/- stat was the worst because it was so dependent on the 9 other players on the court. At least with this new stat they are trying to factor for that.

Fascinating.

Anyone curious about exactly what this stat is, here is a good source. It explains what Adjusted-Plus-Minus is. What the "Real Plus-Minus" is is regularized, adjusted plus-minus. You'll notice in the link that Adjusted Plus-Minus has some "cons". Those cons are addressed by regularizing the data.

This looks like a really cool stat.

The crazy thing is that stats like this and even far more in depth stats have probably existed for much longer than this week. Maybe even a decade or so. For the public to get a glimpse of this is pretty awesome.

The MIT sloan conference has been around for 8 years, imagine what THEY have. It is like a ferrari show for stat geeks.

I told everyone iggy has a huge impact on a team. We are 41-20 when igoudala is playing and 7-9 without him
