I would love to hear that conversation. "So you are saying that you make rules and enforce them, regardless of ability? Wow! This is awesome stuff. You are blowing my mind here, Charlie"

NFL core values are money, money, money, money, and money.

Not sure how productive this meeting's going to be.

But it makes a great publicity stunt.

"how do you get your big money donors to accept losing because good players can have faults?"

The NFL knows that many support Coach Strong's core values and no bullshit approach.

The NFL has an image problem.

What better way than for one of Goodell's cronies to set up a public relations stunt with Strong and the $44 million dollar a year man Goodell. This is a publicity stunt. Shake hands with a strong valued African American man, take some pics. Meeting over.

If this is true, it is a huge positive for Texas. What a great pitch on the recruiting trail to parents.

Hope the meeting is productive.

Have to give credit where it's due, wise move by the commissioner in an attempt to do something to address the issues plaguing the league at present.

It is absolutely not Goodell looking to snatch up Strong for a Job.

That goes against the long standing NFL and CFB rules.

To suggest or think from that angle is ridiculous. That would go down as one of the biggest black eyes in NFL's history at a time they already have an image issue.

Goodell is to "pick Stomg's brain" if you will. Where in reality. It will be Goodell's cronies that do the actual work.

Goodell will be there for the photo op.

Good angle for Texas for sure.

I don't disagree, but is it a for sure win? Suppose you are a parent of a 5* and Texas comes calling. Doesn't it make sense for every other coach to point to stuff like a kid being kicked off the team, virtually ending his football career, for one mistake? YES, I know most of these aren't "one mistake" situations. But perception can be a bitch.

Good angle for Texas for sure.

We hope it gets better. Strong just flipped Breckyn Hager from Baylor to Texas. His older brother is the MLB at Baylor and is a 2-timer on the All Big 12 team. His father is Brit Hager former LB at Texas and NFL Eagles.
Mack messed up when he didn't offer the older brother.

Depends. If the NFL institutes strongs core values you could argue that going to Texas better prepares your for the NFL.

Not saying that will happen.

It is a huge windfall for TEXAS recruiting.

The NFL asks Charlie Strong for advice about player conduct and sportsmanship.

That is worth its weight in gold for convincing parents to let their kids play for Texas.

If this true, Strong will get a huge boost.

Aggies can spin it any way they like....but this is a boon for Texas.

I am surprised it is not illegal by the NCAA. It seems like an unfair advantage for Texas courtesy of the professional ranks.
