I was at this concert....summer of '73...I had just graduated from HS a month earlier.
It was only a 5 hour drive from NYC. Bunch of us did a caravan up there 2 days before the show.
Tickets were all of $10 bucks.....lol.
Incredible show.
The Allman Bros played for about 3 hrs after the Grateful Dead & the Band each did like a 3 hr set.....and then they all jammed together for a 2 hour encore. Lots of rain and mud but we didn't care.
We got blasted on Colombian weed, Thai stick, & local shrooms.
Good times!

The Allmans have been on my Iheart radio since I learned how to program it in my phone. Damn what a group and sad they both are gone. Duane was one of the best ever on a guitar. Gregg had that gritty soulful sound.

God must be jammin today.
