I would suggest San Antonio but a much bigger game is being played at the dome, UH vs UTSA. How about the Georgia dome, didn't that just get replaced?
Begs the question - what the hell is UH going to do about facilities for the rest of the season? Rice is fortunate to have an offer of help from SMU. And what about other schools?

I remember that schools all over the country absorbed Tulane (and other New Orleans-area school) students following Katrina. I expect to see a similar approach to this disaster. It will be some time before Houston and the surrounding areas have recovered from this mess.

Yeah, it's been a few years since I went. I know they had a $60 pizza for the luxury boxes, wonder what that cost now?
Best bargain is the state high school playoffs there. Parking was only $20 and tickets were something like $15 for all day...3-4 games. But, I got a hamburger and coke and it was something like $16. I said something to the guy about it and his reply was "These are the prices for highs school games. You should see what they are for college and Cowboy games."

Yeah the HS games are usually a bargain. Pro Football is no longer an outing for the family. A family of 4 could easily spend over a thousand for just one game.

Not a whole lot of prettier places to play CFB.

This game is being run by ESPN and the Advocare Group.

They are looking for different locations.

Well, I would imagine that the SEC could step in and apply some pressure to ESPN. (And they
probably have) LSU and UF had to shell out a lot of extra money last year to buy off Presbyterian
and South Alabama and cancel those games. So Ala and Presbyterian loved it though. LSU
paid So Ala 1.5 mil. UF paid Presbyterian 600K, and then Presbyterian got travel money and room
and board from South Alabama and they played each other in Mobile.

Just read where the game will probably be in New Orleans. Hopefully that storm will be long gone
by then.

Well with it now in New Orleans we can stop pretending that this was ever a neutral location game.

Not that BYU was ever going to be anything other than domimated in this game.

I agree with this, in 2019 we're playing Florida State in a "neutral site" game in Jacksonville

Both of us will get a nice payday so I don't mind

You need that. And, we're coming to your place in 2020.

In 1981 when we were trying to solidify ourselves as belonging, we played
5 consecutive road games...@ Nebraska, @ Ohio St, @ Notre Dame, @ Pittsburgh
and @ LSU. I understand we were an Independent and it was easier to schedule
like that, but we still did it. PLUS, we are giving you a return game. Captain
Hook could count the fingers on his hand of how many other elite P5 teams
have given you a return game.

Oh that's cute! A Florida fan trying to rag on somebody's team not traveling...

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Good ol ESPN...

It is currently flooding in New Orleans right now.

Harvey is on the move again and will make landfall
sometime on Friday, in Louisiana. New Orleans will
get the hardest of the rain, being east of the landfall.

Why people choose to live in that neck of the woods is beyond me. It's like one disaster story after another with those people.

I was going to point this out, how stupid was this to keep the game in the path of the storm?

Couldn't put it in Nashville or Jacksonville where it's away from this thing?

There's a good chance this game doesn't happen now
