I noticed it in the conference tourney's too.

They need to swallow their whistles a little more and let 'em play.

They also seemed to blow there whistle and call a foul on a defender every time the offensive player lowers their shoulder into them going to the basket

Ohio State, Florida and Oklahoma all seemed to get away with a few. NDSU looked like they came off a battlefield.

Overall though it has been a tightly called tournament.

Shit, the refs have been calling the games like that all year long. I guess it depends on perspective. There should never be 50 fouls in a game. Geez.

Delaware shot 32 free throws in the 2nd half in a game they were losing by double digits the entire half

Exactly. The refs have too much control of a game. It's been that way all year long with this new rules bullshit. When a guy can lower his head and drive to the hoop it gets him to the free throw line nine times out of ten.

yeah that OSU/Gonzaga game sucked-too many whistles, no flow. Those refs should be laid off the rest of the tourney

Meh, it is a bit tight for my liking, but it is what it is.

it honestly ruins games for me. we have all these close games but we aren't seen many baskets made. its guys standing at the line. if im a coach I play my best 5 the entire game. they cant be getting tired

The most egregious might have been blowing the whistle on the flop that gave SFA the 4-point play to tie VCU. That was a flop that changed the outcome of the game. Anyone could see it was a flop, too.

Credit the kid for making the shot but no way should that foul have been called.

We have seen games called like this all season, thus it shouldn't come as a shock to anyone.

Part of advancing in the tournament is adjusting to the referees each and every game. That aspect will never change.

November and december it was brutal but I understood it. then the refs stopped calling it during conference play. it seems like 80% of the games in the tourney r reverting back to how they were called at the start of the season.
