So you go to hell for pre marital sex, but a tranny is ok if your married ? What about all those guys that went to hell for eating a hotdog on Friday... did they let them out of hell after it was ok to eat meat on Friday ? Thalt shalt not kill, except for Philistines and people you won't let on the ark ? I'm morally and Biblically confused. I'd rather test drive the car and find out its a Carl, than try to explain the semantics after it was too late to return the wedding gifts.

Like so many things in life, there is/was a time and place for everything. And, as you kind of hinted at, it is usually in the area of religion that change comes late or last.

Remember, they came up with the no sex before marriage rule before the advent of cars. If not, then the concept of a test drive might have entered the equation?

Hmm.....

Hey Big Dude-

You know the difference in a Banker and a Hooker ?

The hooker will STOP screwing you after you die.

Woo-hoo. The joke works better for a Lawyer, but I didn't have any banker jokes.

They played part of 1970 there is memory serves. And, from that, I would guess 1) Bench 2) Perez or 3) Lee May.

So, Bench?

May and Bench hit back to back late in the last game. I think Bench is the answer for the last HR in Crosley, and Hank Aaron hit the first in Riverfront.

The first Red HR in Riverfront was a middle infielder that didn't hit too many, maybe Concepcion or Helms. I think it might have been Tommy Helms ?

Hank Aaron hit the first homer, but that wasn't the question.

DOH!!!!!!!!

There I go again, answering a question before I take the time to both read and comprehend.........

I never would have got this one right, so much kudos to the person that did.

Wow. I lurched the question.. 715 was the homer I wanted to question, not 714. It WAS Tom House...who also was a coach in the pen when someone else hit an historic homer, but I can't remember if it was Barry Bonds, or Mark McGwire. Maybe I have a harder time remembering marks made by roiders.

Aaron hit his Ruth breaker at home a couple days later in Atlanta, with our ol buddy Dusty Baker in the on deck circle.

I'm getting in this late, I would have bet the house that it was "Big Dog" Tony Perez that hit the 1st Reds homer at River Front. Glad I didn't bet.
