Not to mention if Tom was in that division, his body would be broken and wheelchair bound

I don't know, when women break up with Brady, the NFL front office sends them a yellow flag in the mail. I'm sure there would be new rules implemented for the "great one". Like the Suggs rule.

I'm not sure if you're confused about what Upton is making what, I think Kate UPton is being paid more this week than Justin Upton is being paid this season.

Had absolutely nothing to do with salary...had everything to do with what the Sox would've had to give up to TRADE for him...

I based my opinion on what the Mariners were offering...which included Taijuan Walker...arguably the best pitching prospect in baseball with Bundy hurt...

For him? No way...

Braves would be better with Bourne back....

Could work out for both teams. Peverly went to Dallas too right?

yup

and the main piece we got back in erikson is a solid 70 pt a year guy in his prime, who can play all facets of the game...penalty kill, PP, even strength...and...he can muck it up from what i read and hear. bob beers (bruins announcer, former player, games best hockey name) loves the guy.

the minor pieces we got have potential too

i really like the chad johnson signing

Doubt it. He played his way into Cleveland with that performance after the AS break last year. That and he's got a few years on Justin Upton, since you brought up Bourn, now I'm not sure what Upton you're referring to. They brought in Justin to play LF. They wanted a power bat to play in LF full time since they've always had trouble filling since Chipper played there a few years. A right handed power bat. Worst thing that could happen was Justin starting as hot as he did, he would cool off. I'd rather him struggle now than late in the season which I don't see. it could be a lot worse right now.

Not sure how I feel about that Seguin deal.

Do you know anything of the prospects they got? The guy Erikkson seems like a player...at least a solid one...but for that trade to make sense, they need some of those lesser pieces to pan out...

I suppose, when I saw news of that on NBC Sports, it totally came out of nowhere for me. Erikkson is a nice complimentary player to that roster, but, I thought Seguin was just as complimentary in that role.

Eriksson is only 27 years old and has tallied 63-plus points (including an average of 29.5 goals) in the last four non-lockout seasons. The Swedish forward finished 2013 with 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) in 48 games.
He's a better fit in Boston's rigid, defensive style of hockey than Seguin because of his impressive stick work, willingness to play physical and strong penalty-killing ability. Unlike Seguin, Eriksson will go to the dirty areas and win puck battles consistently. He's also a phenomenal skater and protects the puck well.
"[Eriksson is] a good two-way player. Knows where to find the spots to score. Has a good shot, good release from either side. Can play on the [power play]," said Chiarelli. "He can play the right side, and he has left-shot skill. He spreads out your power play. He’s a fast and a good two-way player. There’s a lot of his game that fits into how we play."
Another benefit of acquiring Eriksson is the team-friendly $4.25 million salary cap hit in his contract, which doesn't expire until after the 2015-16 season, per CapGeek.
Which team will improve the most from this deal?

Stars Bruins Submit Vote vote to see results

Taking on this deal and getting rid of Seguin's six-year, $34 million contract (which begins in 2013-14) along with the other salary involved in this trade results in the Bruins having just over $9 million in salary cap space. This will allow Chiarelli to re-sign star goaltender Tuukka Rask (an RFA) and make one more significant upgrade to his roster in free agency or via the trade market.
Here's a complete breakdown of the salaries in this deal, provided by [ame="[MEDIA=twitter]352868465733931008[/MEDIA]"]Eric Macramalla of TSN[/ame]:
Morrow is a high-end prospect with impressive offensive ability. He projects to be a top-four NHL defenseman and will compete with young Bruins blueliners Torey Krug, Dougie Hamilton and Matt Bartkowski for ice time next season.
This is the second time he's been traded since January. He was also dealt from the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Stars in the Brenden Morrow deal from late March. Is the 20-year-old in high demand or is there a concern among teams that is causing him to be traded? We will soon find out, but there's no question that he has impressive skill and potential.

After all the analysis, I believe both teams will be improved next year and in the future because of this deal.
The Stars have acquired an elite talent in Seguin, who could be a franchise cornerstone player along with Benn for a decade or more. Acquiring Peverley also gives Dallas valuable depth, versatility, faceoff skill and championship experience.
The Bruins have upgraded their depth on the wing by adding Eriksson, which gives them another two-way top-six forward capable of shining on special teams. The acquisition of Morrow strengthens Boston's prospect pool with another talented young defenseman.
It will take many years to accurately judge who ultimately won this blockbuster trade, but one thing we already know is that the Bruins and Stars are both committed to making bold moves to ensure success right now and well into the future.

And >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "scenic trip to the bathroom"

Do we think Ben spotted this chick and followed her into the bathroom? Or did he do the r*pe version of Google's "I'm feeling lucky" and just r*pe whoever happened to be in the ladies room at the time? If the latter, then you got to hand it to him for taking risks.

Stars C Tyler Seguin says anti-gay comment on Twitter came from 'hackers,' offers apology

Published July 07, 2013Associated Press

DALLAS – Recently acquired Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin says an anti-gay comment that showed up on his Twitter account came from "hackers."
The Stars said in a statement Sunday that they had "addressed the issue directly" with Seguin. The tweet showed up on his account Saturday and was quickly removed.
Seguin posted an apology on Twitter and said he was temporarily shutting down his account because of "repeated attempts by 'hackers' to try to damage my reputation."
The 21-year-old Seguin was traded to Dallas by Boston on Thursday, just days after Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli criticized the No. 2 pick in the 2010 draft as needing to be a "better pro."
Dallas made the seven-player deal because it needs centers, and Seguin figures to be on the Stars' first line.

Actually, she got an escort from his body guards. The truth to the story is, she was supposed to bang all of Ben's security, when she declined, Ben took charge.
