But wouldn't signing Dalton and drafting a QB on 2021 be the smart way to play it. Dalton on a two year 10M, 8M Guaranteed means you can groom the rookie for a year, cut Dalton after this season and only have a 2M cap hit.

Trey Lance is gonna be the wildcard of this draft. A guy like Dalton would be perfect for the team that drafts him, apparently the least NFL ready in this draft but people love the upside
