With signing day less than a month away Nebraska is looking to fill its class with a variety of options. Currently Nebraska is at 15 commitments in this class (check them out: here) leaving room for 7-10 more prospects in this class.

What follows is the offensive recruiting Big Board (from what I can tell)

I think we take at least 4 and at most 6 of these names.

Quarterback

At one point Nebraska wanted to take two QBs in this class but they now seem content with one. They tried to add a transfer from Iowa Western as a walk-on but it appears he will be taking scholarship offers elsewhere. Nebraska also might look at the transfer market, former Texas A&M Aggie Kyler Murray was being pursued but he looks like he will go elsewhere. Nebraska likely will be only taking Patrick O'Brien which isn't a horrible thing.

Running Back

Brandon Simmons - Nebraska had wanted to add Kingston Davis to the fold as a FB commit but missed out when the RB ultimately decided to stick with the Wolverines (they will likely still try). Brandon Simmons is the only other RB Nebraska is looking at but he has yet to garner an offer. An offer only likely comes if Nebraska misses on others and wants to fill out the class.

Tight End

Tony Poljan - The 3-Star athlete visited Nebraska in December and looked like a Husker lean but Nebraska wants him as a TE and Poljan still fancies himself a QB. Michigan State has since moved in with an offer at TE as well which throws a wrench into things. However, the pull to QB is strong, the smart money is on Central Michigan here as they will give him a shot at QB and MSU and we will not.

Chase Allen - Nebraska just offered Allen but they have been recruiting him for a long time and he visited for the BYU game unofficially earlier in the year. Allen is also being pursued by Michigan and Miami. The TE from Missouri doesn't have any leaders but Nebraska will be pursuing him relentlessly in January.

Noah Fant - The book is not completely closed on the Iowa commit... Nebraska has continued to recruit him and will bring him in as a TE instead of a DE (which is what he wanted). Iowa still holds a strong commitment here but the pull in state can be strong. This one will be interesting to watch through signing day.

Wide Receiver

Desmond Fitzpatrick - Nebraska has made a lot of headway with Fitzpatrick and he seems to be a Husker lean right now, however Louisville is back in the picture and the loss of David Reese to Florida threw a wrench into things as the two wanted to play together in college. Lucky for Nebraska Dez does not have an offer from Florida and the Huskers still seem to be out in front because of his relationship with coach Williams, Lamar Jackson (see defensive big board) and Tony Butler.

Isaiah Simmons - Nebraska has made significant headway with Simmons of late as they have switched from recruiting him as a safety to recruiting him as a WR, the position he'd rather play in college. Simmons participated in the Semper Fi bowl as a Safety and flashed his athleticism and also said he would be announcing his decision on signing day. Nebraska seems to be out in front but this one has always been hard to read.

Offensive Line

Matt Farniok - Farniok is down to three B1G schools, Nebraska, Iowa and Michigan State. He will be visiting Iowa and MSU after the Army All-America game and make his decision from there. Early on Nebraska seemed to be the odds on favorite, then Iowa made a strong push with a good season and offering his younger brother. Nebraska though, seems back on top after they too offered his brother. Farniok says he will make his decision before signing day.

Royce Newman - Newman is currently a Mizzou commit but has waivered in his commitment since Pinkel retired. He took an official to Nebraska in December but did not do an interview after the visit. It will be telling to see where Nebraska thinks they stand after the dead period. If Cav and Co are out to see Newman quickly, then Nebraska probably stands a good shot at flipping the 4-star OT.

Alaric Jackson - This one is intersting as Jackson has been relatively quiet of late. Nebraska has been active in recruiting the Michigan OL and will also be fighting Iowa and Michigan State for his services. If Jackson visits in January the Huskers could stand a shot.

Jauan Williams - One of the top OT in the nation Nebraska is playing a bit from behind here. Williams is a must take no matter what, even if Newman and Farniok commit they will still take Williams if he wants in. Williams has said that FSU currently leads and will take a visit to Florida after the all-star game. However, Nebraska has piqued his interest and if they can garner a visit later in January all bets are off.

7-10?? We should take 13-15 more imo

we can't... don't have the scholarship room. Even with attrition by my count we can only take about 25-26 at MOST in this class. We will not take less than 22.

Sounds like AJ Bush is one who's got his train ticket purchased

Would make sense... think he fell out of favor fairly quickly and he looked awful in the spring game. I would think Fyfe would transfer but maybe he likes his role. Darlington is probably sticking around. Adam Taylor is another that I think is probably gone.

WHERE would Fyfe transfer seems like a better question.

Some place like UNK or an FCS type school... he could likely earn a starting job at a school like Liberty or Youngstown State...
