ND isn't joining a conference in football until they have to join one in order to make a BCS game.

Exactly. It's going to be funny to watch the pro-ACC folks squirm about this.

ND's ACC foes: 2014-Home: UNC, UL, Wake; At FSU, SU; 2015-Home: BC, GT; At Clem, Pitt, UVa; 2016-Home: Duke, UM, VT; At: NCSU, SU

VT screwed again. Guess it would have been too much trouble for the ACC to swap VT and UVA in this schedule. Oh, I get it....all the teams rumored to be leaving the ACC (FSU, Clemson, UVA) get first dibs at hosting ND.

Not surprising.

I won't be shocked when the ACC finally just says 'F it' and makes every league game we play after a bye for our opponent, and night away games

That was expected. As said before, it'll take an act of God to see Notre Dame play in Lane Stadium. They don't want any part of it.

We couldn't play ND in 2014 or 2017 because we're already booked up in those years. And we already have home games with tOSU in 2015 and Wisky in 2016, so Weaver probably figured that would keep people happy enough and didn't really push for ND to come to Lane in those years. We don't have any good non-conf opponents lined up past Wisky, so we could use a home game with ND to keep season ticket holders happy in 2018 or so.

2016 is a long way away at this point. If things hold, though, it could be quite a schedule with Wisky and ND in the same year.

2016 should be a year that Clemson and/or FSU are back in the rotation....and also a home game against Miami.

So does this mean people will stop bringing up things from WVU message boards saying the ACC's collapse is imminent?

Pretty much.... now Swofford needs to get to work on this ACC Network I keep hearing about.

I hope this is not accurate

David Teel‏@DavidTeelatDP
So let's do math. If #ACC grant of rights is 15 years, a school leaving the league would forfeit about $300 million.

VT won't be going to the B1G or SEC for the foreseeable future. The good news is the ACC won't be raided either.

I have heard from a good source that the ACC is about to lose two members. I will have to run this by him and get back to you all. Hmm.

And it's a B1G guy not dude of WVU, lol.

Well, this "about to" just got nixed. It was a unanimous agreeement. Maybe your source's source was the clown in WV.

Hey, I'm with you. Just asking the source. I didn't think his rumor made a lot of sense at this point.

Looks like the ACC survives. Now lets get a GOOD 16th team.

Won't be a 16th unless ND joins as full member....which doesn't look like it will happen unless the BCS changes their criteria yet again.

Won't we need a 15th and 16th with maryland leaving or are you counting ND?

Hopefully if this goes through we'll finally be able to move on from people making baseless predictions.

Now, realign the divisions to get either Clemson or FSU on our schedule and continue to sign Alabama and Ohio State type OOC games. Get basketball back on track, and continue improving the other sports in the ACC.
