Its difficult to surmise any of it. 4th year in a row and the same 2 teams are in the finals again. Suffice to say, the future of the NBA is NOT bright.

Im sure once Lebron and a few other guys like Curry/Durant call it a day or decline drastically , a lot of people will tune off the NBA. There isn't much talent out there or star power

The reality is that there are more stars than ever before.

But, most are concentrated in the West and none of them can touch Golden State because the Warriors have 4.

I know something or someone that's definitely not bright...

More stars then ever before? How you figure?

The 90s and 2000s had far more "stars". And much more depth of talent and certainly much better teams in terms of number of teams with talent

The West was way better in the 2000s. The East was 10 TIMES better in the 90s than now

As stared this was the fourth year of the finals fo the same two teams and NEITHER team really played that well to get there.

If The Warriors played this type of Ball in the 2000s they would have lost before the finals. Cavs wouldn't; have knocked out of the East in the 1st or 2nd round if they played that type of ball in the 90s

1) Lakers - Good young talent, tons of cap space, desire-able market.
2) Nuggets - Top tier talent at their core.
3) Phoenix - #1 pick and potential franchise talent, solid #2 in Booker. Rest is questionable.

Good size gap
4) Kings - Couple good young players with upside and the #2 pick. FO is questionable at best though.
5) Bulls - Couple of really good young players, but don't know if any will pan out as top tier talent.
6) Knicks - Top tier talent with Porzingas, but in cap hell for the next few years. Not a lot of flexibility or trade-able assets.

Next large gap
7) Orlando Magic - Tough decisions coming up with a couple good RFA's, but most talented of the rest of these next teams. Questionable FO and Head coach turnover. Don't love Clifford as their new coach.
8) Mavericks - No idea what they're doing really. Barnes is their best player as of now, who's not top tier/max level money guy. Will have a lot of cap space next year, but not a lot of young promising players outside of DSJ. Carlisle still the MVP of that team.
9) Hawks - Not a lot of talent on that roster and in cap hell for a few years, but I have faith in the FO and the changes they made in the last year that they're on the right path.
10) Nets - No draft picks for a while, terrible talent-wise and some bad contracts on the books.

Josh Jackson isn't questionable imo, he needs to improve his jumper without a doubt to become a star, but his athleticism and defensive potential alone make him such an intriguing prospect. He really turned a corner those last few months of the season... playing out of position (under Watson) and for 2 coaches on a team that was tanking in his first year must've been a shock for him, but the progress he made leads me to believe he can be a very good #3 option, maybe even #2 option on a good team if he keeps showing progress with his 3 pointer. Bender and Chriss are both projects that are tbd, hope Igor can find a way to develop them, both just 20 years old still so I haven't given up yet.

I'm also quite thrilled with their cap space they have this and next summer along w/ the Bucks pick and unprotected Miami pick coming up and 4 picks in this year's draft. I'm usually pretty pessimistic about the Suns, but for the first time in a while I'm quite optimistic about our direction.

Not even close.

The league is top heavy because of superteam formation.

All of these guys:

LeBron
Durant
Kawhi Leonard
Curry
Harden
Westbrook
Davis
Giannis

Are legit superstars.

Others like:

Lillard
Embiid
Simmons
Tatum
Porzingas
Mitchell

Are exciting young players on the rise.

Yet, you cling to the worst era of NBA basketball and continue to glamorize it. Aside from the Bulls, none of the 90s teams could compete with top teams today. 90s players who are being honest tell you that today's game is played at a higher level. Steve Kerr who was about league average back then said he couldn't have played in today's NBA.

The truth is that pace and space basketball is great to watch and the league is stronger than ever. Yes. Golden State dominates, but that is because they are ridiculously talented. Not because the rest of the league sucks as you want to believe.

Based on the metrics you stated in your original post, I have a hard time comprehending you listing some teams where you did.

Edit: not to say you're wrong or anything, I just disagree based on the metrics you were basing the list on.

No, he actually is wrong. And a flaming idiot to boot.

This is the best top of the draft since 2003 (Bron/Melo/Bosh/Wade draft).

They said that last year. And they year before. And the year before.

And they'll be saying that next year too.

Remember 2014? Andrew Wiggins was going to be the next lebron and Jabari Parker the next Larry Bird.

Hard to see a wing player (or PG) without top athleticism going #1.

Remember 2014? Andrew Wiggins was going to be the next lebron and Jabari Parker the next Larry Bird.

That class was a lot more hyped entering college than they were leading up to the draft. By the time the college season played out, most of those players that were originally hyped a lot (Parker, Randle, etc.) were viewed as good prospects, not great ones.

Wiggins and Embiid were the 2 jewels of the draft, but Embiid was hurt and therefor significantly less valuable and not worth the top pick. And yeah, obviously Wiggins has not lived up to his potential, but I never heard anybody say he was the next LeBron. The comps I say were on the Rudy Gay - Kawhi Leonard spectrum.
