Suppose Elvis does not come back as strong as he was. Move him to 2b, Machado ss, Profar 3rd and Guzmon at 1st. Not a bad if. That is assuming we trade Beltre.

Some guys can play MIF positions but not sure how Andrus would do there and if he would be willing to. He played 2 innings at 2B in rookie ball and that is the extent of it.

Until this team can right it's pitching staff, as in, get one, I can't imagine this is a destination which a player of Machado's talent would even consider coming to. And I hate saying this, but we're years away from having a contending team, and a guy like him is going to get some phenomenal offers from teams far better than our Rangers.

What do you see on the horizon that would make us contenders to go to the WS in 2 years. It will take many of our prospects that long or longer to arrive and they aren't going to be ready for prime time when they first get here.

I do realize that certain players aren't tradable if that is what you mean. Matt Moore and other guys like him will not be traded.

What I mean is there is no reason to keep anyone who might help us after the deadline, but not after 2021 gets here.

If they are in the category of being no help to us now they are certainly not going to be of any help to anyone else.

My concern is what we do regarding the rotation. Building from there looks decent.

I would like to think we have a winning culture in 2020. Have to think the FO makes a splash for the new park. We have some holes to fill like 3B but enough talent to bring up by then to have a good OF. Pitching of course is everything and is a bit hard to predict.

Not looking for anything in 2019 due to pitching but you never know what can happen with good talent and a good acquisition at the break 2020. If you bail completely in 2020 it is highly unlikely that a team learns to win and be a legit threat to WS the same year

IMO the OF is pretty much set. If not, then what happens to Maz and DDJ? Gallo could play 1b but what happens to Guz? So Joey is safe in LF. 3B C and maybe 2B is my concern + BP & Rotation.
