Trent Richardson- i actually think with the ballard injury more pressure may be put on him. THey bring in a mcgahee or someone like that to replace ballard. Trent better produce. its jsut me but im not worried about bradshaw and his fragile body

Rashad Jennings- always thought he would be good but stuck behind MJD. yet when given oppurtunity hes been very lackluster. Now in a great running system. Yet david wilson who also has been lack luster and has more natural talent is cleared to play, and the team invested a first round pick in wilson. I just dont see jennings being the bell cow.

Toby Gerhart- think he is the bell cow. period. they paid him to much to not be. and theres not a ton behind him.

Marcus wheaton-gonna be good, real good

watkins-maybe next year, hype hype hype

ej manuel- think he has a pretty good year......

tre mason- zac stacy will not go quietly into the night.........

im rambling i will have more later, not that anyone cares or this is insightful

One thought about Rashad Jennings.. When given the opportunity he's actually been pretty darned good. His ypc was over 5 every year in Jax, save 2012, and let's be honest, everything about the 2-14 2012 Jags was terrible, including MJD.
And he was exceptional in Oakland last year, a place where the ultra talented DMC looked like he was running in molasses.
I think the only thing negative about Jennings is the existence of David Wilson and Andre Williams.

Except, when the giants have found their success recently it was with RB by committee, with both RBs having great seasons... I believe if the giants are going to be good, they will have 2 fantasy relevant RBs... the question is which 2??? I see david wilson as long as he is healthy, to be a great change of pace back, and Jennings is their number one right now... that means andre williams is the man left out... But Both RBs are not going to stay healthy all season, so i see all 3 being fantasy relevant this season...

And they might be. Personally think he and Wilson are about the same guy. . Depending on if Wilson is still the same guy post injury. Jury is still WAY out on Williams. Countless backs have torn up college record books and never became good pros.

right off the bat

wilson is 5-9 205

jennings 6-1 231

Wilson is much quicker, and a slashing back, jennings not so much

neither one was a huge pass catcher in college, and jennings has become a 3 down back in the nfl though.........

but i see vastly different styles

Well 4 inches and 30 lbs, for athletes, is about the same body type. . Neither are the big bruiser, even if Jennings measurable say he can be.
I guess what I was trying to say was that of the three backs. . Four if you want to count Hillis.. Jennings and Wilson will be filling the same type of role for the team, they will most likely be the early down guys, both are capable of playing third downs/passing situations, whereas Williams is the typical bowling ball type andif he carves out a role, it'll be as that short yardage banger type.

Jennings - in 4 seasons, he's had 1677 rush attempts and fumbled 3 times (losing 1).
Wilson - in 2 seasons, he's had a paltry 115 rush attempts and fumbled 3 times (losing all 3).

Given Coughlin's history, he trusts veterans. Especially veterans that hang onto the ball.

RE: Tre Mason - saw several reports and heard an interview with Jeff Fisher and he essentially said that Mason's projected usage is being blown out of proportion. Fisher sounded like Stacey's their guy. (Then again, so was Daryl Richardson to start last season.)

It was funny last season - Fisher was pretty clear that Richardson would be their starter in Game 1, but he seemed to make a point about it being for Game 1 rather than a general endorsement.

I think some coaches/players say vague things that shouldn't be made specific (like "we'll use Montee Ball a lot"), some say very specific things that shouldn't be generalized (like Fisher last year about Richardson), and some say nonsense ("we'll give Spiller the ball until he throws up").

I'm inclined to believe what Fisher says, but only what he actually says, and not extrapolate from it. So I would in fact bump up Stacy's value based on that info.

Well I have serious doubts Manuel can get it done. I saw a flash or two last year. .. but he was awful bad more often than not. I guess you've gotta give the kid another year or two, but he did not have the look of an answer at QB to me.

Rumblings that C.J. Spiller could be dealt in-season....Bryce Brown impressing, Spiller's last year under contract. Something to keep an ear on for a bit.

wow. Brown's stock is rising on my board if any of that is close to being legit.
I'd be interested to see if Spiller can pull off the amazing Lynch move - get traded from the Bills and land on a playoff team. Wonder what the asking price is gonna be for the former 1st rounder though....
