McVay is not an illusionist. What a load of shit. McVay is as authentic as the sun and he has a winning formula that is battle-tested as well as genuine to the point of being unbelievable. Bunch of dumbass pundits, piss me right off every time I see their mindless drival.

You could be reading the comment wrong, I did, but when I listened to the video, the dialog explains the comment well.

As they said, the Rams showed the same exact offensive set 3X to start the game @Arizona (The game we went to bro) and Sean ran three different plays out of that same set all for big gains. One of the guys joked after the Blaine comparison, 'Wanna see some magic?"

The guy speaking, was none other that our 3rd string QB and tenured vet from last year's training camp in Dan Orlovsky. Very cool to hear him speak as to what it was like to have Sean in the film room for the very first time as a Ram!

In ESPN’s top position units heading into 2018, the Rams were well represented. They have two of the best groups in football, and were picked as a runner-up in another.

Let’s start with the defensive interior, where the Rams were picked as having the best group of players in the league.

The Rams decided that having one unstoppable force in the middle wasn’t enough, so they added Ndamukong Suh to pair with Aaron Donald. Donald led the league with 91 total pressures last season despite not playing in two games, while Suh had an overall PFF grade of 91.0 and the second-best run-defense grade (92.4) of any interior defender. Michael Brockers had a career year under Wade Phillips in 2017, earning an overall PFF grade of 83.1 and a run-defense score of 88.0, so this trio has the potential to make life miserable for any offensive line it faces. Suh’s presence should result in less attention toward Donald, freeing him up to wreak even more destruction on opposing blockers in one-on-one situations.

It’s hard to argue against this fact. Donald, Suh and Brockers combine to give the Rams one of the best trios at any position, wreaking havoc on opposing backfields each week. Add in Dominique Easley and Ethan Westbrooks and the Rams have an incredibly deep and talented defensive line.

Additionally, Los Angeles was picked as having the best special teams unit in the NFL. That should come as no surprise after they had three first-team All-Pros on special teams and sent four to the Pro Bowl. Johnny Hekker and Greg Zuerlein headline the unit, while Pharoh Cooper and long snapper Jake McQuaide are also valuable contributors.

Lastly, the Rams’ secondary was selected as a runner-up, only behind the Chargers.

The offseason additions of Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib give the Rams playmaking matchup weapons, while re-signing slot corner Nickell Robey-Coleman and Lamarcus Joyner secured two important spots on the back end. Safety John Johnson III was the second-highest-graded rookie safety a year ago at 85.8 overall.

Daily Dose: Gurley Headlines CBS Sports’ Top 25 Under 25 List

Top 25 NFL Players Under Age of 25: Goff Only QB to Make It, Two Saints Rank in Top Five

As the offseason continues along, CBS Sports’ Sean Wagner-McGough is looking ahead to the future of the NFL by answering a simple question that is often quite difficult to answer: Who are the best young players in the NFL?

In an effort to simplify his answer, Wagner-McGough decided to rank the top 25 players under the age of 25. Here’s a look at some of the Rams players who made the list:
20. QB Jared Goff (23)

“ A year ago, the idea of Goff appearing on a list like this would've seemed like nothing more than a fantasy. But after Sean McVay and some actually talented football players arrived in Los Angeles last offseason, Goff turned into the quarterback worthy of the No. 1 overall pick. In 16 games last season, Goff completed 62.1 percent of his passes, averaged 8.0 yards per attempt, threw 28 touchdowns and only seven picks, and posted a 100.5 passer rating. That'll do.”

11. WR Brandin Cooks (24)

“Entering his fifth season, Cooks is somehow onto the third team of his career. Over the past four seasons, he's averaged roughly 986 yards and almost seven touchdowns per season. He averages 14.1 yards per catch. He's going to explode in the Rams' offense with McVay calling the shots and Goff throwing him deep bombs.”

1. RB Todd Gurley (23)

“Gurley is the best player under the age of 25. After finally being freed from the constraints of a Jeff Fisher "middle-school offense," Gurley ran wild in Sean McVay's system. In a 15-game season, he rushed for 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 4.7 yards per carry, and caught 64 passes for 788 yards and six touchdowns. His 2,093 yards and 19 touchdowns from scrimmage led the league. He was, quite simply, the best playmaker in football last season.”
