If we could work a deal and trade-up to get this guy, he would really help our sometimes porous run defense especially between the guards.

They don't have much ammo to be trading up Retro.

More than likely, the will be trading back to regain some picks

Always good to dream Retro

I think the bigger question would be, what would that Rams do if he fell to their pick? Do you take him or still trade down knowing you need draft capital?

I wonder how hard they really try to keep him

Only way they keep him is if he signs a team friendly contract which he has shown in the past he isn't willing to do

I don't want him anymore, not to say I didn't appreciate when he was part of this team, but we have been overpaying him for the last two years, and some team (Raiders) will desperately overpay for him. We can get a better player in Talib for a hell of a lot cheaper.

I don't see how our first round pick is nothing other than a running stuff player either LB or DT.

As we all said when Fisher was fired - "It's about time!"

That has to be in the top 10 of worst contracts ever.

I know Snead has done a pretty solid job since he took over, but I still ask myself " what in the world was he thinking?" Regarding that Tavon contract ( especially since the extension didn't need to be done at that time )

I hated the trade up to get him ( especially when they could'e just taken Hopkins at 16 ) and I hated the extension even more.

By far Snead's worst move hands down

I think that contract speaks more of Fisher than Snead.

Possible names to look out for in FA for Quinn replacement

Trent Murphy (27), Washington
He needs to be in a hybrid 3-4 style scheme that allows him to align in different positions, a la Jarret Johnson for the Ravens in the 2000s.

Barkevious Mingo (27), Colts
Warning to potential suitors: Don’t think you can be the one who finally turns him into a true edge rusher. He found his home as a move-around joker piece for the Colts last year, where he had responsibilities as a blitzer, spy and occasional zone coverage dropper. That must be his permanent role.

Adrian Clayborn (29), Falcons
A disruptive in-line run defender who can also make noise as a pass rusher (especially against an overmatched backup left tackle!).
