I’ve got several parlay tickets that all hit if the Steelers win the game. I’ve got the Steelers on the money line (no points) so I’m feeling pretty confident. What’s the word out of Pittsburgh regarding the game? I could hedge it and take the Dolphins plus the points. If I did that I could actually hit both bets. What do you guys think? Steelers will cover?

Any news on who is playing QB for the Dolphins?

How about 100 on the Dolphins +14.5. That could hedge you a little and you could win your parlays and the Hedge bet.

That’s what I was thinking about except the payoffs are so small with those bets betting 100 on the dolphins eats away at the profits. Of course, I could hit both but I really don’t think the dolphins will cover that. That’s why I’m interested in what the Steelers fans think

I did like Philly a bit today but Wentz on the road is anything but a good bet. Their D and running game played exceptional and they won easily

If you've got ML just hedge it with Miami on the ML. At +550 theres no point in taking Miami plus points. Just figure out how much you make if the parlats hit and bet the corresponding amount in Miami on the ML. Like if your parlays pay 2k just put 300 on Miami straight and you're up 1650 regardless.

Well aside from Chickillo bruising up his gf, all quiet on the eastern front...

Pros:

• Team is FINALLY healthy. QB Mason Rudolph is back and doesn't appear to have any lingering issues. Reports are solid from his practices saying he isn't looking timid. FB Rosie Nix is going to give the running game a boost. Lockdown CB Steve Nelson is back. I'm willing to bet the Steelers defense has a helluva night. My only concern for the D is how the D-line plays without Tuitt for the rest of the year.
• Tomlin has a very successful record post-bye. And a very successful primetime record, especially MNF.
• Coordinators are finding better success, albeit against lesser competition. But I have little faith in them in situational football.
• Dolphins are in tank mode. More trade rumors have surfaced. Appears the FO has sent the message that if you play well then they will ship your ass outta town.
• Steelers home game in primetime wearing their color rush jerseys. The players are going to be amped up.

Cons:

• Mike Tomlin is infamous for losing &/or struggling against inferior teams. Plays down to the competition often.
• Offense still hasn't established an identity. Luckily for them its the Dolphins so they can continue the scattershot approach & hopefully find rhythm.
• Randy Fichtner is the OC. Keith Butler gets a pass because of the absurd amount of talent that is currently covering up his scheming issues.
• JuJu & a few players are coming off the flu this past week. Hopefully they are over it.

All that said, I'm not confident in buying the spread. The intermediate to deep passes still eludes this offense, and the run game has been ok at best. Meaning, if this team is to cover the spread then they will need more splash plays from the defense. They could buck the recent trends though with a healthy unit, but I'm not overly optimistic yet. The defense should handle the Miami O with ease, but the Steelers O is the question mark. If they can generate points off turnovers then they'll be in good position to cover.

I did bet 1000 vClams for them to cover though. Just because.
