I suspect its more of a big 2. I think Lynch has a really good chance of falling out of rd1.

Honestly with the way this draft class looks and with the way most teams have answered their QB needs, I would not be surprised at all to no QB's drafted in round 1 at all.

I know my team isn't drafting a QB because of Teddy so I haven't really scouted the QB's all that much this year. But just quick glances at each one doesn't have me impressed in the least.

Let's not forget that in 2013 at this point in the draft process, Geno Smith was going to be a top 10 pick.

Although that 2013 draft also shows "that it only takes one" when the Bill's unbelievably selected Manuel in the 1st round.

This time of year, GMs put out smoke screens 24/7 until the draft. I still think 3 will go...CLE could (imo should) go Ramsey and draft Lynch or Cook at 32...so we'll see, but Wentz or Goff gives them a strong trading chip if RG3 plays well.

49ers...idk...The Rams will not pass if one of the top 3 are there....Then you have teams at the bottom of the draft that don't need a QB today, but need to be looking like AZ...and of course DEN...they would LOVE to see QBs falling...2 for sure, still think 3.

At the bottom of the first round, you'd also have teams that would love to trade back. The rumor is that teams don't have 31 players with first round grades which means that there is going to be a dropoff somewhere in the back and you'll have teams like Dallas lurking in the 2nd round (or maybe a team like the Rams) looking to trade up into the back end of the 1st which is relatively cheap.

I think 3 go in the first round as well now that Im looking at everything.

Jay Cutler will be in the MVP discussion next year.
That might be pushing it, but I do expect Cutler to build on the good season he had in 2015. Football Outsiders had Cutler ranked as the 10th best QB in the league in 2015. You can see that right here...

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | QUARTERBACKS 2015

And he did it with his receiving corps decimated by injuries. No doubt it was Cutler's best season. John Fox has been raving about Cutler. Fox is an old school coach that does not give praise easily. When he first came to Chicago, he wouldn't even commit to Cutler as starting QB. But after the 2015 season, he has been raving about the work that Cutler did with him. He talked about Cutler's mental toughness and called Cutler maybe the biggest bright spot on the Bears. You can read about that here...

John Fox: Jay Cutler was 'one of the brightest spots' of 2015 season

I expect a great season for Cutler in 2016, and the Bears should be a playoff team. They made some major improvements on defense with the free agent signings.

As a Seattle fan, I'm pretty happy with our QB situation. With the exception of 1 or maybe 2 teams, we go into the matchup with the better QB. Good shape.

It seems to be 3.

There was a little drama LY as to who might go 1st overall, I felt Winston was the clear cut favorite, maturity issues was the only cloud over him...and he showed himself okay in his rookie season...this year could have the most drama in quite some time.

The move that wouldn't surprise me...TN taking Ramsey...Bucky Brooks has updated his mock and he feels the same way. The next question is would that make CLE flinch and take Tunsil?...Joe Thomas has at least 3 more probowl caliber yrs as a LT...would they move him to RT? idt so...Tunsil would probably play the RT there and is that a waste...maybe they trade down with BAL...a ton of possibilities could play out....right now my gut say TN plays it safe and takes Tunsil.

Hard for me to believe Fisher is that high on Keenum going into 2016.....

I think ownership has something planned to get a new QB in there. After all just arriving in the second biggest market in the nation and hyping Keenum seems silly in the grand scheme of things.

I don't think it's a matter of being high on Keenum, but Keenum being the best option in house currently and enters camp as the starter. He was an effective game manager late last season. Foles regressed badly, and Mannion was not ready to really complete last year. Unless they can find a taker for Foles (or maybe Mannion?) the Rams are a bit stuck at QB. They aren't going to cut Foles, as that would entail paying him in full to play elsewhere. If the Rams draft a QB, maybe they trade Mannion for a day 3 pick?

I have to think

HAVE TO

That this is the last hurrah for Fisher and the Rams

With all the looks of another 6 or 7 win team, entering a new market

Can they really continue to ride this guy?

Fisher was hired to get this franchise through a move to LA. If you don't think that was Kroenke's plan all along, well then you're wrong. It never was about winning...obviously. You don't hire, arguably, the most offensively handicapped coach of the modern era if you are worried about winning.

You are correct about offensively handicapped. Look at Fisher's teams ranked on offense each year post Steve McNair/Eddie George starting in 2006 below......

Offense rank (Last ten years)....2006 ranked 27th, 2007 ranked 21st, 2008 ranked 21st, 2009 ranked 12th, 2010 ranked 27th, 2012 ranked 23rd, 2013 ranked 30th, 2014 ranked 28th and 2015 ranked 32nd last

Passing offense rank (Last ten years).....2006 ranked 30th, 2007 ranked 27th, 2008 ranked 27th, 2009 ranked 23rd, 2010 ranked 25th, 2012 ranked 18th, 2013 ranked 27th, 2014 ranked 23rd, 2015 ranked 32nd last.

Here is Steelers GM Colbert saying he thinks Big Ben has three to four good years left.

Roethlisberger is now 34 years old and among the older starting quarterbacks in the league now. Nevertheless, the Steelers believe that Big Ben has three to four more peak seasons left in the tank. Big Ben has been playing since 2004 this will be his 13th year.

I decided i would do this in three tiers. The first tier is QB's near the end. The second tier will be QB's that are in the middle chapter of their playing careers. The final tier will be QB's that are just starting their careers.

Below are the QB's i think are older and are nearing that mark where they only have a few seasons left.....

Denver--Peyton Manning....40 years old/ RETIRED
New England--Tom Brady....39 years old/17th season
New Orleans-----Drew Brees...37 years old/16th season
Dallas-----Tony Romo....36 years old/14th season
Arizona-----Carson Palmer....36 years old/14th season
NY Giants----Eli Manning...35 years old/13th season
San Diego----Phillip Rivers...34 years old/13th season
Pittsburgh---Ben Roethlisberger....34 years old/13th season

All these teams sooner rather than later will have a issue that won't be pleasant especially since its not easy replacing a QB who has played over a decade and won many games. Denver just signed Mark Sanchez that is a big step down from Manning. The league will soon be a lot different because many of these aging QB's teams might not be winning as much as before while teams that have endured losing and growing pains with young QB's are coming into their own. For instance teams like New Orleans,New York Giants,San Diego who have had most seasons above .500 are all in a downward spiral while clubs like Minnesota,Oakland,Tennessee all have good young signal callers that could soon be winning franchises again. Minnesota is already there coming into its third season under the 23 year old Teddy Bridgewater.

Below are the QB's that are in the middle chapter or just starting the middle of their playing careers. Any QB starting on their 6th season or more i consider in the middle of their career.

Chicago----Jay Cutler....33 years old/11th season
Green Bay----Aaron Rodgers...32 years old/12th season
Kansas City----Alex Smith....32 years old/12th season
NY Jets--Ryan Fitzpatrick..33 years old/12th season
Baltimore--- Joe Flacco....31 years old/9th season
Atlanta-----Matt Ryan....31 years old/9th season
Cincy--- Andy Dalton......29 years old/6th season
Philly------Sam Bradford....28 years old/7th season
Detroit-----Matt Stafford...28 years old/8th season
Carolina-----Cam Newton...27 years old/6th season
San Francisco----Colin Kaepernick...28 years old/6th season
Buffalo--Tyrod Taylor...27 years old/6th season

Many of these teams can rest easy knowing they got a good bit of time left before they have to do any searching again. Aaron Rodgers,Alex Smith,Jay Cutler,Matt Ryan,Joe Flacco those players teams in the coming years will have to start thinking they could be nearing that time.

Whats amazing to me is how he thinks he will ever win anything without having a good QB. Fisher went to the playoffs six times in his first ten years here 1999-2008 and the main reason was Steve McNair and a pretty good defense. As much as Fisher hated Vince Young he saved Fisher twice from getting fired by Bud Adams.

The first time was 2006 Kerry Collins started 0-6 and Adams demanded Young be put in and things improve or they'd be pink slips. Vince won 8 out of the last 10 games saving his coach with an 8-8 record. Second time was 2009 the team started 0-6 again with Kerry Collins then again Adams makes Fisher play Vince so what does Vince do? win 8 out of 10 games again and the team goes 8-8.

The only two QB's with winning records for Fisher was Steve McNair and Vince Young. IF Fisher would've worried more about getting a good QB he might've had a different outcome. Fisher must realize he can no longer scrape by with a good defense alone like in the past. A great running game and defense helped him tremendously. Steve McNair and Eddie George along with a good defense then Vince Young and Chris Johnson along with a good defense. Problem is he hasn't had a decent QB and good run game in years.
