Why Dusty continues to bat Ludwick second is beyond me. Ludwick is the last player on this team I'd put in the two spot. He can't lay down a bunt, he's a strikeout/double play waiting to happen, and he does not make consistent contact. I honestly can't see a single reason why he would be fit for the two spot. This is beyond frustrating...

Ludwick batting second is mind blowing. Hopefully this kind of shit will be the last move this retard makes as the Cincinnati Reds manager. Seen way too many instances of complete and utter ignorance to let this kind of shit continue. If they keep this idiot for another year, my axe to grind will be on Jockety.

Having grown up in Johnny Bench's native state but lived most of my adult life in Boston
I'll be pulling for your team in the NL playoffs, but if you play the Red Sox in the WS it's
much iffier.

Good luck for now, anyway.

This game may come down to the wood... in the bats, or in Dusty's toothpick.

This time last year, I was wishing Dusty wouldn't risk his health further, by leaving the hospital too early after his small stroke. I didn't get my wish, but DB might have had small stroke recurrences in games 3,4 and 5.

There is only one game this time, in the Reds first playoff series. I pray for a big 1st inning for our Reds so the toothpick has little stress, adversity, or need for urgency. Those are big problems for Dusty. That, and the ability to recognize a 2 hitter.

oh how I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Reds clubhouse. To be able to see the faces of failure and the words of fire that Dustmop uses in a game of ----URGENCY?

This team is a fucking joke.

If they get 2 hits, I will be surprised.

Phillips pops out. At least it wasn't his usual double play ball.

I feel like this is Deja vu all over again with playing the Phillies, Reds fold in big game pressure situations.

I'm going to be honest, I just don't know if I can continue to put my time, money, and heart into this team under Dusty Baker. It's the same story every year. They can't win under pressure. It's embarrassing to look at the records the Reds have established over the past couple of postseasons for things you DON'T want to have records for. Embarrassing - that really is the predominant word I would use to describe the postseason Reds of recent years. I'd almost rather not make the playoffs than to see this sorry bunch humiliate themselves, their fans, and their city on national tv all over again. It's just so clear that the Reds will continue in the same directionless mediocrity as long as Dusty Baker is manager. I don't know how much longer I can take it.

Don't get me wrong, Dusty Baker isn't the only thing that's wrong with this team. The leaders of the team, Votto, Bruce, and Phillips, have been dogging it for weeks. It's unfair. Unfair to the fans and unfair to their younger teammates who, while less talented, are still putting in the effort. But all you have to do is look at the facial expressions of every player on the team over the past couple of weeks to know that Dusty is not the man you want leading a team into the playoffs. Lack of urgency, lack of accountability, and lack of baseball intelligence permeate this team.

The city of Cincinnati and Reds fans all over deserve better.
