He moved to Columbus.

For a brief time. Then we sent him to Florida.

I hear he is a mod on a sports board or something now.

I think that the Pens win the series, but Bob can change all of that. If they play like they did against Philly on Saturday, I'll be happy. Best the team has looked all year, minus the PK. The Jackets have a bright future, but they lack depth, and losing Horton was a big hit. I think this is will be a bit of a baptism into the postseason for them too. I love the city of Columbus, though oddly dislike Ohio...but starting tomorrow, Columbus? *spits*

No. They don't. Three lines that gel well, and 6 guys who can play on the fourth (three who can play first line time) with two more guys coming back this series. 5 centers who win more faceoffs than they lose. And 9 bonafide NHL D-men.

They don't have six superstars, but they have a truckload of of forwards they can roll and create matchup nightmares.

We won't talk about in goal. There, they have no depth.

Jackets:
Sergei Bobrovsky

Grey kebob visors (you ever tried to see through one of those things?)
Revokes orgy bibs (Give it back. Now.)

Nick Foligno
Cooling fink
Cool knifing
Cling of oink (so James Neal will be checking him tightly?)
Lick fin goon (has there ever been a finnish goon?)

Brandon Dubinski
Unkind rabbi nods
Bad inbound rinks (no, Brando. You are not playing in the igloo now. They have a new arena)
Bad nonskid Bruin (but good non-skid Jacket)
Board unbinds ink (So he's gonna hit someone hard enough to knock their tattoos off)

Cam Atkinson
Maniac knots (yep. That pretty much covers it)

Jack Johnson
Jack John Son (he really is pretty boring)

Fedor Tyutin
Nifty detour (His breakout pass)
Fondue. Try it

Artem Anisimov
Ammonia rivets

Gotta give the Pens the edge in humourousness of the names. Nothing is going to top angel skirt.

So...other than Dupuis, the Pens are basically...um...healthy? Well, Goc too I suppose. Haven't heard much about him. Considering his work as a possession guy, I'd sure like him back in the lineup.

Damn, Pix, you're talking like this is some kind of game thread or playoff series thread. We'll have none of that here! :)

Getting back to the possession game (like the clinic they ran in 2009) is the only way this team will advance far. I have no idea where Goc stands injury-wise.

That's what you have to do against Columbus. Fight fire with fire. Whoever does the best job of capitalizing on mistakes and keeping the puck out of the other guys hands wins.

I think what it's going to come down to most is, which team will score the most goals in each game?

The Blue Jackets definately have the better goalie. If they can get enough powerplays they've got a shot. I'm just waiting for Bylsma's excuse for wasting another season of Sid & Geno. Hey Dan you better get it done, Barry Trotz is now available.
