Phillies sign Herrera to 6 year deal.

Phillies give Herrera 30 million over 6 years to be the centerfielder during the rebuild. I think it makes sense.
Hopefully he will continue to a have a good OBP and add a little more power.

The key is the fact that he is only 24. The question: did the Phillies sign him too soon? He still had 2 more years of arb. Will he try as hard with the new contract? Only time will tell!

Odubel's contract is fair. That how it should be. Then, if he matches or exceeds, he can get more down the road with a renegotiated contract. If he screws up, less money is wasted. Trump agrees with this.

Trump is smart. But Trump signed a 4 year deal for a dollar a year. Go figure!
The Phillies have been lucky signing center fielders from the rule 5 draft, Victorino being another one.
