Sources: Teams talk to Knicks about Porzingis

just the latest in a series of moves that make me think he wants dolan to fire him and get his payout and leave.......

Dolan just might be dumb enough to think Phil still knows what he is doing and that trading Porzingas is a good idea.

I think it was @wildturkey on another thread who had a really good trade idea. Porzingas + 8 for Russell and the 2. I don't see the Knicks doing much better than that. Would make sense for the Lakers too.

Could swap Randle for Russell if desired. Still don't see the Lakers trading that #2, but that would certainly get their attention.

I mentioned here last week that the Knicks should offer KP and Carmello for the #1 pick to the Celtics

Now this idiot will make that same deal for the #3 pick

If the Knicks are really serious about trading Porzingis, then their fans should find another team to root for.

Mehh... Porzingis is soft. We need him inside banging away and getting boards. Not chucking jumper after jumper. He aint Durant

Russell and Mozgov have been traded to Nets for Lopez and the Nets 27th draft pick - so that's not going to happen. I can see Porzingis coming to Los Angeles, but only for Clarkson who is being paid more than he is worth any way.

LeBron James I am sure is in talks with Phil about this.

Might be the missing piece for the Cavs to try and compete with the Warriors.

Clarkson for Porzingis? Huhh? Maybe you could get Stephen Curry for Deng while youre at it.

Most overrated figure in basketball history anyway.

Might as well hire Zeke again.

I don't think I meant to say Porzingis. I was thinking about Paul George for the Lakers two second round picks and Clarkson to INDIANA but there were talks about A 3 way trade involving Porzithis. Could have been speculation though

Buzz in this city about KP and the Knicks first rounder next season, for Sacramentos' #5 and #10 picks this year

What is wrong with testing his trade value??
The team sucks with him.

It is not a bad idea to see what other teams might be willing to offer.
It is a fucking business.

Remember The dude got barbecued as the worst GM in history for drafting the guy in the first place.
Now, he is getting killed for possibly wanting to move him elsewhere

It is exactly what you want your GM to do to explore all options to improve the team.
No player should ever be untouchable, because you never know what insanely ridiculous offer you might get.

What is the alternative, sit around and win 20 games again??
Good Job Phil. You are actually doing your job.

The "missing the exit interview" thing is just sports radio talking head nonsense to add drama. Phil is merely seeing what value he might get. It is what a GM should be doing.

Heck, my Spurs are openly testing the value of Danny Green/Lamarcus Aldridge.
That is from a team that went 67 and 62 wins with them the last two seasons.

And if the value is not there, then both Green & Aldridge will play for the Spurs next season.

No surprise that Miami, SAS, GSW, and CLE are the most active player for the last 5 years in roster moves.

Why the fuck would any team sit pat on a 20 win roster?

Im so with this thinking

And KP is very young, but he is flawed, and has dealt with injuries in both seasons, so I have no problem with them poking around

i have no problem with trading anyone but phils previous moves, contentious provoking of his players publicly, and general lack of interest indicate to me he does not care. no results for any of his efforts.
