Great move.

This should calm the fan base that was foaming at the mouth.

Now if they can only find a HC interested in coaching the Vols. How many coaching candidates have they gone through so far? I've lost count.

He's the acting AD, he's 67.....most likely a short term fix.....

It calms the fan base until they can hire a new AD. I doubt he is there for more than a few seasons.

I expect Tee Martin to be their next HC to answer your question. Going back to their roots.

I thought this was odd. I looked up Tee Martin's bio on wiki & they have him listed as the next Vols HC. Seems like a logical choice. He understands UT football.

You realize anybody can log in and change Wikipedia right?

But, I do think he'll be announced as the new HC....Fullmer as the AD and Martin are names Vols fans are familiar with. It would satisfy tem.......for now.

No I didn't realize you can do that on wiki.

Yep. There hasn't been an announcement made as of yet......probably some eager Vols fan.

I can't remember another program that's gone through so many different coaching candidates like this.

Martin is the receivers coach at USC and has never been a coordinator? He's going to need a lot of experienced help around him. Fullmer will be making some calls to people he knows.

Can you imagine the chaos and desperation that would ensue if Tee Martin turned down the job?

It's reached rock bottom......really bad that they nixed the Leach hire. He would have brought an offense that would generate some excitement and is most likely best candidate they could get. He marches to the beat of his own drummer.

But, Martin might have some potential if they are patient.

Doubtful he does. Never been a coordinator....he'd be crazy, especially since he played there. He would never be able to show his face in that state again.

Isn't he the guy they ran out of town on a rail a while ago? The only way this gets better is if he brings Kiffin back.

I know Scott Satterfield is an App State alum, but Boone is just a stone's throw from Knoxville and you never hear Satterfield's name come up for any coaching gigs, but I think he'd be a good get for a P5 team.

I just think the whole Tennessee situation is bizarre. I wonder what potential recruits are thinking of this mess?

1-Still a SEC school so they'll get recruits. Some kids in TN grow up wanting to play at UT and stay in state so fam and friends can see them play.....

2-Better football school than the others in TN like Vandy....think Furman might be in Tennessee, but they're in the lower level, the JV level......
