It doesnt make sense to me

Again, and for the last time, Eli and Elway joined shitty teams, you have every right to argue against their decision to force teams' hands

Durant joined the best team in the NBA that he couldnt beat

And AGAIN, Eli and Elway had no choice but to join a 'shitty' team, but neither wanted to join the 'shittiest.'

Again, be consistent.

Was Lebron a coward for forming a superteam in Miami?

Lebron is the REASON it was a Superteam

Thats the HUGE difference

Wade and Bosh without Lebron, were a 4 or 5 seed quick exit roster

Golden State was a super team before Durant ever arrived

Again, you're parsing degree now, not what the intent was (which is exactly the same)

Golden State collapsed last year with the same roster, and as I've already noted, Durant was the finals MVP, and was clearly the best player on the court, including Lebron.

Well to be fair, it's a nice story to have a guy be loyal. Gretzky WANTED to be an Oiler for life, but Peter Pocklington got greedy. I'm glad that Steve Largent was a Seahawk his whole career.

Having said that, I'm okay with Marshawn wanting to be a Raider.
Marshawn who left the Bills a crappy team to a contender?

I agree if a player chooses to remain loyal, great story and I too love it, but a player wanting to be a champion I am real cool with that too.

Durants' ability as an all time great will never be questioned from me, so no surprise he was the best player on the court

His decision to join a record setting team already title favorites, will always rank atop the list for "most cowardly acts by an athlete" of all time

Marshawn was traded by Buffalo, it was never his choice...He was a headache for the Bills

U Keep using that word.

(inert Princess Bride reference here)

So yeah, let's agree to disagree. It's a loaded word. He chose a different sports team, he didn't desert his comrades on a fucking battlefield. Or skip Vietnam with bonespurs.

Lmao

Well played

I use the word in a sports related way

Not trying to compare him to the great Colonel Troutman

Fair enough. If I'd read your comment somewhere else than the Hoop, i probably would have assigned less editorial meaning to it.

Yes, exactly like that, cause forcing move to a 4-12 Giants team was the same as Durant joining the team that just broke the wins record in the NBA

I thought Eli didn't want to go to SD because he would be in the same conference as his brother.

And yet, the chargers ended up the better team.

11-5, 7-9

9-7, 11-5

14-2, 8-8

11-5, 10-6

8-8, 12-4

13-3, 8-8

9-7, 10-6

8-8, 9-7

7-9, 9-7

9-7, 7-9

9-7, 6-10

First eleven seasons, chargers six of the eleven seasons has the better record. Tied playoff appearances, but chargers was leading before 2011. And.........chargers 3-0 vs Eli.

And I'm sure the retort is Eli has two rings. Does not change the fact chargers was the better team for years.

When you provide the rebuttal (it is the right rebuttal too) you've lost the argument.

Shouldn't you be crapping on Peyton's "greatest offense ever" in 2013 scoring just 8 points in the Super Bowl?

Stop it Manning scored a whopping 8 points his last 2 SB's and only 6 turnovers

He didn't need to do too much the way the Denver defense was playing.

Uh....Seattle was 5-11 the year before Marshawn got traded. The Bills were 6-10 that year. Lynch got dealt to Seattle because Buffalo drafted Spiller. This wasn't him forcing his way to Seattle.
