Yes he did.He did thank Von Miller and the Broncos defense for "carrying him" to another Super Bowl win...

Shouldn't you be crapping on Peyton's "greatest offense ever" in 2013 scoring just 8 points in the Super Bowl?
What, like Eli refusing to go to San Diego?
Yes, exactly like that, cause forcing move to a 4-12 Giants team was the same as Durant joining the team that just broke the wins record in the NBA
Nope it's not the same at all, Eli was a snot-nosed entitled rook who'd never played a down of football. Durant a respected veteran who'd played his whole career in a league backwater, been MVP, and you know, actually played out his contract and was free to sign anywhere he wanted.
So good catch sir!
Not the same at all.
No, its not the same because Eli forced his way onto a team that wasnt good
Durant forced his way onto a team that would have been in the Finals without him
Stick to your guns, what you implied couldnt be more wrong
Heh. The team was better than San Diego, AND more to the case, was seen as able to quickly rebuild and win, unlike S.D.
At any rate, I don't actually give a flying fuck if Eli forced a trade, the NFL has seen that before (Elway etc), but it's not 'simple,' at all.
You don't like Durant, so he's a coward. You like Eli, so he's not.

My dis-like for Durant BEGAN with his decision to go to GS
I never had any feelings for him other than respect as a great player
Joining the team you couldnt beat, is the act of a coward IMO
We could just go ahead and agree to dis-agree
Exactly. He owed that team and that fan base not a single thing. The goal of every pro athlete is to win a championship, to be a member of a championship team, to contribute, not sit back and be okay but never good enough to win it all.
So then be consistent, and call Elway, and Eli, and every other guy who forces a team's hand a coward. Lebron to Southbeach, etc etc etc.
None of that even comes close to comparing
Eli and Elway didnt force their teams hand to join a team they couldnt beat, or teams that broke win records the prior season, or teams that were favored to win titles WITHOUT them
Those were 2 guys that didnt want to go to bad organizations in their opinions...
Durants decision was a decision based on "what is the easiest path for me to get a ring"
So Durant decided he'd had enough of playing in a backwater, and wanted to play with a unique bunch of guys, and WOW, pulled his weight, fit in perfectly, didn't cause waves, and was finals MVP.
Because that was HIS opinion, just like Eli and Elway were allowed to have an OPINION.
Be consistent.
I dont know where youre going, youre completely losing me
I dont see how Elway and Eli joining shitty teams, compares to Durant joining a team that was gonna be in the Finals without him
And Durant left a team that went 7 games in the WCF with the same team he joined
Its the weakest thing I can ever remember a big time athlete doing
The mindset was the same, wanting to win. Eli = Elway = Durant = Lebron
What's different is the situation. All were looking to MAXIMIZE their chances of winning. Elway and Eli were unable to force a trade to a powerhouse team, because that's not how the collectively bargained process works.
Just like NBA vets who have played out their contracts have the ability to decide what's best for them.
If one is a 'coward,' then all are 'cowards,' because each wanted to take an easier route to winning.
