Was at Cabelas in CT yesterday. Not a AR left on shelf. No .223 rounds to speak of. Completely cleaned out.

Stopped by a local gun shop on way home and same result. Semi Autos and AR/AK's are all gone. Guy said he had 18 AR15's in store at start of day and all was gone. Everything is on back order now. Good thing I already stocked up on .223 rounds

Even parts are flying off the shelf. AR uppers and lowers all gone.

Which only means that people feel that their cultural is about to change.

To those of you who are posting numbers on suicide and car deaths and whatever, none of these are caused by mass murderers killing multiple innocent people.

This is just an attempt to deflect from the main issue.

I understand your reasoning and thanks for not just attacking. Whats needed is adult debate.
My point is if people continue to just buy more guns to make them safer, it just creates more of the same problem. There has to be another solution to just getting more guns. This hasnt worked. With an increase of mental health issues. The lack of respect for human life due to the normallcy of gun violence will create more and more of people dying due to gun violence

Do you know how many of those are suicides?

So Canda has some huge ghettos like us, right?

I can't believe this shit. Tell me you know that the stats are incredibly inflated by certain demographics which exist nowhere else in the Western World and I might consider your opinion.

I posted in a different thread the stats someone posted from wikipedia.....they are from 2007.....

"The majority of gun-related deaths in the United States are suicides,[6] with 17,352 (55.6%) of the total 31,224 firearm-related deaths in 2007 due to suicide"

I await my education, Raptor. Tell me more about my country and guns without looking at the actual facts please.

I don't think people are buying out of fear that guns will be taken away. It's a fear that part of their culture may be changing and the only response they can make is to try and insure that it dosen't happen by stocking up with as many weapons as possible.

This may be the South's 3rd great culture shock that they've faced in American History.
1. The end of slavery
2. The end of segregation
3. The feared end of the gun culture

You are so full of shit.

Yes, how dare we use facts to formulate our opinions instead of emotional hyperbole which is so much trendier.....

You are so full of shit.

It's called analysis. That's what this fight is over. A cultural change. There is more charged emotion on this issue in the political forum than there was for the Presidential election.

Facts are fine, but car deaths have nothing to do with gun deaths.

Don't want them gone, just controlled so that military style assault weapons are no longer legal.

I don't know what truths you are talking about?

Don't tell lies, I own a gun myself. Stop the fearmongering, the 2nd Amendment protects the right to own a gun. But, like everything else, it's not unlimited.

Totalitarianism

The changing of the gun culture is hardly totalitariansim, especially when 52% of the country agree that significant changes are needed.

Tell that to the parents in Newtown. What will happen will be decided by the Gun Committee and the President. Not by us.

I thank the stars idiots like you have no say in this
