I saw that Scout has updated their star ratings, all three are right now 3 stars!

Commit #4 is in, Troy Apke, WR from Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh. Kid can fly and is a solid all around WR, both parents were Pitt grads, so Pittiful fans are in meltdown which makes it funnier.

Hopefully his teammate Bookser is on board next. Both visited this weekend.

Hate responding to a 3 month old post, but Pitt meltdowns are so fun to watch. I have nothing against most Pit fans whom I mostly love due to Stillers, Pens, and Bucos, but there are those hardline Panther fans who are so fucking entertaining when they have Penn State meltdowns.

I've yet to meet a Pitt fan that doesn't hate Penn State and love the fact Paterno was unjustly vilified. Watching them fall on their face every year makes me smile. We will destroy them sanctions or not when Hack shreds their shitty defense

I hope PSU can set up a game every year against Pitt. Great rivalry and always could use a guaranteed win every year :laugh3:

Fuck them and the horse they rode in on. They had their chance to play us every year but were scared Joe would have too much power in an All Eastern conference. Its only a rivalry for people 35+ or stuck here in Pittsburgh amongst the assholes who think they are on the same level as PSU. Nobody outside this area or under that age really cares. They are focused on OSU, Michigan, Nebraska, etc

If I'm picking from purely 4 best players left on our board,

Henry
Nicholson
Holley
Geisecki

We need an LB in there so hopefully we can free up a ship somewhere or Nicholson can grow into LB. I could see them taking Ollison if he's on board as an LB or working someone committed elsewhere to flip, like Zaire Franklin.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I had to pick from best available I would pick
1) OT Braden Smith (has us low on list)
2) CB Lattimore
3) DT Nnadi
4) S Eric Smith

These are best available with Medium to Low interest in PSU according to scout.com. Chances we get any of them 1%.

I was just going based on guys we stand very good chances of getting. Geisicki along with James, Carter and Breneman would be scary at TE.

I was going on a wish not a likely hood of it happening.

My first list was more promising with Nicholson, and Henry. Im still not sure if we do land Nicholson if we should change him to LB. I would love for him to stay at safety.

He reminds me a lot of Hodges, actually is a bigger kid than Hodges was coming in.

NFL trends make it more and more likely for a kid to put on weight and be fast and slightly undersized in the back 7.

I was against Hodges moving to LB thinking of the fearsome Hero he would have made, but it was the best move for him.

Yes and he seems very interested. Has some big time offers as well. I'll take the trade if we can land him. Bottom line, we NEED an LB in this class
