To name a few who could gray shirt:

S Marcus Allen- Tore ligaments in his ankle
RB Johnathan Thomas- had knee surgery
CB Daquan Worley- Tore his ACL in his right knee

They then count towards next year and keep our numbers down in a class where there is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more talent in our wheelhouse and a ton of great prospects already leaning our way.

Take one more, call it a year and starting putting pedal to metal for 2015 class.....first junior day February 15 and its a star studded one

Hey I'm with you that I rather have the full amount of scholarships allowed to us for next seasons class. I was just saying that Franklin might gray shirt some players instead of using a redshirt on them.

2015 class + Franklin + his staff = A lot to be excited about

That wouldn't make any sense. If you have the room for them without having to displace or gray shirt them, then you take them now. Only way they gray shirt is to oversign and it just hurts next class and frankly we have far bigger fish in our sites for 2015 than we can finish with now.

Also, Allen should be ready well before he steps on campus and Worley/Thomas could be ready for fall ball as well.

Looks like we'll have 2 schollys heading into signing day. Lloyd Tubman appears to have decommited.

Hearing grades my be an issue...ie, he didn't clear admissions at PSU. Kid has committed 3 times prior to this...western kentucky, Vandy, PSU, visitied PSU said he was solid and shutting it down, now may go to Kentucky. Pocket the ship for next year and get a 4-5 star with it when you have a year to recruit

I've read that his entire recruiting process has been strange, not surprised he DC. I also agree with you about pocketing the scholarship. Unless Franklin can come out of nowhere and land a 4 star with the last one, it would be best served to hang onto it for next year.

Nicholson did not visit, but has been there 4 times already. Simmons was said to have had a good time, but not sure how hard we are pressing for his commit.

BTW, Tubman has not officially decommitted, but some signes point to the fact he may flip to UK

I don't think anything is official on Tubman, but he has removed all of the Penn State related things on his Twitter. Writing on the wall essentially.

really like his film. Fits the mold of what the coaches are looking for in our secondary. Long, rangy players with speed who like to play physical. kid has very good ball skills as well.

Tubman decommits and will decide on NSD between Kentucky, Nebraska and PSU. Likely going back to Kentucky but who knows with this kid.

He visited Kentucky on 1/18/14 says scout.com and they have his top 2 being Nebraska, and Kentucky. He also has western Kentucky at bottom of his list.

Scout.com: Lloyd Tubman Profile

yeah, but he actually committed to Western at one point before he committed to vandy, then committed to Penn State and so on..

Take Terrance Brown and call it a day, same player
