I'm going with DE Darius Fullwood. I also think the Ryan's have the best chances of committing so I have to be different then LinebackerU so I will go with a dark horse pick and choose the 3 star DE from Olney, MD.

I swear Franklin has a clone. He is just un f-ing real. even during all the crazy stuff going on around signing day, he and the assistants talked to at least 15 of the top kids on their board for 2015 and told them all "YOU will be signing with us 1 year from today" Kids seem to all be fired up about it, most were VERY high end talents. Dominate the State and Dominate the Region are going to go from catchy slogans to painful realities for every other school in our region in a hurry

Just looked at ESPN's 2015 top 300 players and lots are from my ex state Virginia. Really wish we had LJ still because he dominated in the VA area. Also on the list there is a few guys from NJ but surprisingly not to many in top 100 from PA. Of course lots can change over the next year after kids go to different camps and perform in front of the scouts and then get re-ranked.

ESPN Football Recruiting - Player Rankings - ESPN

Yes I know Franklin is a great recruiter in MD but LJ was awesome in VA/DC.

We don't need LJ, this staff has a ton of connections in VA and the entire mid atlantic. Kids in PA I want, Bates, Jenkins, Bucholz, Whitehead, Robinson, Adams, Reid and Cooper

Larry Johnson is from the same area in MD that I am from. He was a good recruiter here but when you look at recruiting for Penn State the last 10 years it was good but not great. I have to agree with LBu, I am hoping and thinking that Franklin and his staff will recruit at a higher level than we have seen in many years. If he does that he will have to recruit the region well but also can some top level stars from around the country.

Yeah, LJ is becoming a dinosaur. Just look at the signing day event and how much buzz and emphasis this staff puts on recruiting. The 2015 kids they were talking to all day were pumped they took that time out as well. Pretty much every one of them said Franklin and co were the only coaches who took time to call that day. Also, not sure if anyone caught the picture of the new envelopes PSU is using for mailers. This guy gets every damn detail and does it right. Those things really stand out in the pile with stuff from other schools

Ryan Bates, Kamonte Carter, and Jarvis Miller all commited today at junior day. Bates and Carter are both consensus 4 stars and Bates is the 3rd rated player in PA. Franklin is the man!

Geez only 3 good players on the 1st day of Junior Day its like Franklin isn't even trying :laugh3: Cant imagine a FULL year of this.

Cooper is visiting Monday and likely pulls trigger as well:yahoo:

They must have loved Miller to give him an offer at this point. He rated out #3 overall at the NJ Nike SPARQ camp Feb 1, so he has all the tools and he's only 16 as well.

Bates, I saw that one coming and Carter is no surprise as either, but both stud pickups.

Like I've said before, its going to be a fun ride

Wow, just reading quotes from kids that were there, this class is going to be off the charts. we are right back in thick of things with Maclean, he would be HUGE pull. Bucholz almost pulled trigger, its really just a matter of time, needs to talk to parents. Wimbush may be close as well

The hard part is keeping the kids committed till the very end.

Man that was a long 10 days without any signing news. At this rate we are going to need to sign about 100 players so I'll have plenty of news to review. :suds:

Great start for the staff. It looks like this coaching staff is going to restore the glory to PSU.

On a non-Penn State topic my nephew who went to camp in State College a couple of years ago signed his letter of intent a few days ago to play at Glenville State in WV. It is going to be a busy fall trying to go see my brothers two boys playing at their respective universities and make it up to State College for a game or two.

Not with this staff. They will be all over these recruits till they fax those letters in. We're now more likely to flip kids late than lose them.

I think we separated for Sterling Jenkins as well based on his quotes from yesterday, that would be HUGE. Jerome Baker is also raving about the trip. If they can pull the top player in Ohio, who's dad is a Buckeye fan, I'd be pretty impressed.
