Fighting after clean hits is dumb...and why do we have the instigator penalty if it will never be called?
The penalty at the end of the first (Coburn)? Yeah, apparently they let him back on the ice 20 seconds early in the 2nd. Bizarro.
Both goalies were pretty great...Mason kept his team in the game, especially with the early powerplays. Fleury made some spectacular saves too (though the Flyers had some bad puck luck too).
If Engelland ever plays on the wing again, I will personally slap Bylsma in the face.
Olli Maata is good, really good, but still young mentally. His skating ability is ridiculous, especially exiting the defensive zone.


Now to go think of a nice avatar for a certain Flyers fan.

I remember that draft...I'm trying to remember who you guys took instead. Laughton? That was 2012 right. Staal trade draft, yep. Allll coming back to me now. I actually specifically remember Flyers fans wanting Maatta, and being really happy when you didn't take him...because I wanted a Euro player, hahah.

Our D is going to be pretty great soon. That said, I tend to wonder what exactly they're gonna do with all the offensive minded Dmen. Still...so much talent in the organization. PUMPED.

So Berube called the Flyers efforts last night disappointing? I'd disagree with that. Though the score was 4-1, it certainly doesn't paint an accurate picture.
