Philadelphia Eagles coach says he will kneel if the majority of his players take a knee in front of the flag. Seems he wants to
promote team unity. I believe that the pledge to our Flag is a respectful way to remind us that we are free.
Not to mention the cost and sacrifice that it took for the right to fly it. I do not agree with players that refuse
to respect it. At least not at the workplace. Yes it is a free country, but not without a cost. Let us honor the
cost of those who gave their lives. I would prefer that the Eagles coach kept his mouth shut since he is encouraging future behavior on a touchy subject.

I'm 54 years old and the Nat'l Anthem can still well up my eyes, but couldn't a better and more appropriate place be found to honor those who lost and gave up all they had and all they'll ever be. Then before a sporting event?

I mean if its about honoring those who laid down their lives. Doing so before a football if not dishonorable to said vets, than pretty shitty and cheap.

And those lives were layed down as much for the right to protest when an American or Amricans believe an in justice is occuring and litt;le to nothing is being done to correct it.

Eh as I think about more... to me kneeling takes more effort than standing, so I for one am all for it. Kneel, lay down, do whatever the F you want. Until someone pulls his pants down and shits right on the field I am fine with all of this.
