I didn't mind giving him a shot. I wasn't that bothered by the playcalling. As bad as the o-line was, it didn't matter what he called. Hard to have many successful plays when you can't block anybody.

I heard the same thing about Sears actually being better than Darnold. Interesting on JT Daniels. I've heard folks say that he could be the favorite to win the starting job.

Whatever happens, it doesn't look like we have to worry too much about replacing Darnold.

I wasn't upset they gave him a shot. I like Tee. He's been nothing but great as a recruiter and as an assistant. I just think if you have a team with this much talent who could possibly go far you find someone who can drive the car now. You just had one of the most gifted QBs USCs ever had and you had a guy learning how to call plays. Also I just saw some tendencies that he had that I'm sure other teams also saw that kept inferior teams close in games that should have been the kind that were over by halftime. I'm sure he will get better I just think just because we got a first time head coach we should be finding or getting people who are proven even if they only stay two years.

The QB situation will be interesting. Remember everyone said Darnold looked better than Browne but Clay started Browne and that turned out to be a bad decision. I think Clay might have learned his lesson and he will start the guy whos ready and able and not worry about the letter after the kids name. I don't think theres a bad way to go from what I hear Sears is good. So it might take a spectacular spring from Daniels to get the nod.

No way the Cougs finish 5th. I have them finishing 3rd.
Cougs will take a big step back with Falk leaving and Mata'afa turning pro early.

Really sad news out of WSU. Prayers for his family, friends and the WSU community.

Just shows that you never know what someone is dealing with and how hopeless things can feel when you are that young and don't have the life experience to know it's temporary.

Hopefully the general tone of the note he left comes out to put speculation to rest. By all accounts Falk was a quiet no nonsense kind of QB kind of like Browning while Hilinski was an outgoing always smiling always there for his teammates and friends big personality guy. In other words, not the type you would at first suspect of having deep enough emotional conflict to do such a thing.

I didn't know former USC strong safety Will Harris has joined the Udub coaching staff as a DB coach. Nice going.

Tee Martin signs an extension to stay on and be OC. I hope they stop with the you call the first play he will call the second play and he calls the third downs. Let Tee run the shit and see why he got so much interest from NFL teams.

"I'm just excited to be here at USC, where the future is so bright, and working for somebody the caliber of Clay Helton," Martin told ESPN. "There were some other opportunities, but you don't leave USC for a lateral move( I take that as a dig at Washington. lol). I want to help us get to that next level, and everything is in place here to do that."
